Anyone Play At Bellagio Regularly?

Recommended Posts

Just came back from Vegas today, wanted to see if anyone had as badan experience as I did at the Bellagio...When the 3-table Hooters Casino has a computer based table managementsystem, but the supposed biggest and best casino poker room in the worlddoesn't, that should have told me something....The management were total a$$holes, from the second me and the other4 guys were trying to sign up to the $2-5 NL game...Then, when I finally was given a table assignment, went and bought chips, got to the table, andit was full......The only bright side is that I did get to see DN, sitting in Bobby's Roomwith Jennifer Harman (I think it was her, anyways, she had her back tothe window, but I can't think of who else it would have been...)Anyways, I was very disappointed with the room as a whole...Anyone else?

Room is legendary. BUTTTT.....it is all you said. The game sign up mafia are complete rude tools. And they scratch thousands of names on a list of paper!!!! WTF is that all about? It is horrible. They cant afford a goddamm computer????I do like the chairs, but the room is VERY cramped and you always bump into someone no matter what. So yeah...I used to love it. But after last time Ive decided it really does blow. And all on this AFTER the extensive re model. What a joke!Bobbys room does rule however. :club:

Same thing happened to me the other day, I signed up for the $2-5 NL game, went to get my chips and when I went to my "assigned seat" somebody else was already there! Pissed me the hell off so I cashed my chips in and went to the Venetian. The poker room there is sweet.

I played there once. The room is too cramped for me.I was very disappointed after all the hype I heard aboutthe place and it sucked azz and they were rude.I quickly won $400 in a 1/2 no limit game and left. dinkhr0.gif

I much preferred the Wynn.... a much cleaner environment with adequate, albeit not the friendliest staff, but I do have to agree that the floor managers were pretty jerky. The Wynn had a nice game selection and was IMO a better overall poker experience than the Bellagio, which took like half an hour to get into a 20/40 game.

yeah, the bellagio is terrible...i'm astonished that they still don't have a computer system and everybody, from the dealers to the floor staff, are rude and stuck up...as if your piddly 2/5NL isn't something they want to be bothered with.venetian all the way.

I enjoy playing at Treasure Island the most. Friendly folks there. Easy pickings. Never have to wait long (if at all) to get on a table. And you don't wait long for a drink. The Bellagio is way too crowded and noisy and you are right, they are rude. Johnny Chan and some of his buds have been known to show up at TI just to be able to play away from the crowds. Secret is out now. I'll probably regret posting this.

It's amazing to me that they don't have the simple computer table listing that the other poker rooms have, and you have to imagine how tired the floor people get after dealing with the same dumb questions 8 hours a day 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year...not that I'm making an excuse for them, but you guys would ALL react the same way.And as far as going to get chips....they have chip runners. Go sit down, tell the dealer you want chips, tip the guy a blue one (or a red one if you're super nice) and that way you don'tlose your "assigned seat".All that being said, the Bellagio room is SUPER cramped, jam packed, and the sign up lists are all 30 deep on any sort of weekend. They should just close the fontana bar and make it a secondary poker room for good....or at least until the demand dies down.

The loser at the desk said to me, rudely, go grab your chips and come back, and I'll have a table for you. I come back with a rack, he says, go to table 3.I go over, it's full. Go back, he couldn't have cared less...almost like he didn't remember he just sent me over there. Offered to put me back on the list. Thanks but no thanks. Like someone else said, if you're playing less than 30/60, you might as well be invisible.

Bellagio is easily the busiest poker room in Vegas and with only 2 floor bosses managing seating, I bet they get a lot of crap each and everyday so I give them a break when they do mess up.I agree that a computer system would help immensley, and quite honestly I don't know why they still don't have one. If you want to get a limit game higher than $4-8 in Vegas, there's only Bellagio and the Mirage and I don't really like the Mirage room. If you play NL, you probably shouldn't play at Bellagio anyway...there's much easier NL games elsewhere, especially at the MGM and Balley's.

yeah...since venetian doesn't regularly have 40/80 and a semiregular 20/40...or wynn doesn't regularly have 15/30 30/60+...

Sorry, wrote it late last night...meant the middle limits. For me a jump from 4/8 to 15/30 or 20/40 is too big a jump. Only 2 rooms I know of that have 6/12 and 8/16 and 10/20 regularly is the Bellagio and the Mirage. If you do know of another room that has the middle limits, please share them instead of getting all snippy and sarcastic...nothing gets accomplished that way.

Venetian had 8/16 going a couple times when I went by and it wasn't terribly crowded since I was there mid-afternoon on a weekday.I actually stayed at TI but only played one of their crappy $60 tournies. There was almost never an active cash game there - again mid-afternoon weekday - while I was there. I saw a single 2/4 limit game every now and then and a single 1/3NL game occassionally. It was a decent room and very friendly but the need a lot more traffic and I prefer 1/2 NL over 1/3.
