Actually, I also stretched the truth: I haven't qualified for the main event (yet). :-DSo long as I win the PLH event, I suppose I could be bribed into letting you win the main event. But seriously, do you plan to go to River Rock on Saturday afternoon to play in the combo supersatellite?Cheers,Merby
Probably not this Sat as the weather is going to be good so my family and I will do something.I will be hitting it up at some point before the middle of Oct.

If I won 300k, I might take a year off my regular job and just see if I could make it playing nl cash games live.Oh and I would buy one of those sweet Falcon labtops and get a custom paint job on it.
Who wouldn't? lol.
mike-matusow.jpg I'd scream "redemption"....then the money would be gone in 20 minutes.

I would quit to do something else cus I'm bored with my job. In fact while we speak, I'm still working and I'm using my poker winnings to retrain as a commercial pilot. I'm still in the early stages so far but plan to quit early next year. I'm going to have to borrow some money for about half the costs anyway, any further money I can win will reduce the amount I have to borrow.

I would quit my current job. I would probably then become a real estate agent or mortgage broker. Therefore I would still make money but have the flexibility to play tournament poker. As stated in other posts it costs a lot of money to travel the circuit. I think some wise investments along with playing some small buyin internet/live tournaments would tell me if i had what it takes to play poker full time.

Didn't really understand that last sentence there but I'm sure it was good.

Anyone saying they would quit is an idiot, u cant even retire at 60 these days with 1 million. U could survive maybe two years here in SD on that win after taxes. Get real.
When people say that they quit their job, they are also saying that they would still take the money and play poker, and invest some of it If you can make 60k a year playing poker, why not quit? You would have a huge bankroll and could never go bust, unless you suck big donkey balls. Real big ones too. They aren't saying they are going to throw the 300K in their IRA and CD's and live off of it, they are saying they are going to play poker...

Yep. 3rd place in the Big Deal on pokerroom. It gave me enough of a roll that I could take a shot, it's only been a few months now, but so far it's going okay.
Cool. What limits do you play? online or live? and how old are you?

2/4NL, and slowly dipping into 3/6NL (shorthanded), and 100-200 tournies. mostly online, since the only casino close to me doesn't spread NL, but I occasionally go for some 10/20 limit. And I'm 22.
