timwakefield 68
First question: I switched computers, and this new computer does not save my hand history. Does anybody know why, or how I can change this?? That said, these two hands are from memory:PokerStars $3+.30 rebuy, 10K guaranteed. Hand #1 Down to approximately 13 players. Blinds 20K/40KI have about 850K chips (approximately 4th place of 13 players), and am on the BB with AK suited. Folded to button, who pushes for approximately 450K. No specific reads on him, he seemed pretty tight but had open-pushed once or twice in the last 20 or 30 hands. I realize that calling or folding here is basically just playing two different strategies, but what would you guys do?Hand #2Same game, final table, five players remaining. Payouts are approximately $900, $1100, $1600, $2200, $3600. Stacks are approximately: 3mil, 3mil, 1.2mil, 1.5mil(villain), 1.1mil(hero).Blinds 30K/60KI raise to 3.5BB from UTG+1 (my cards don't matter here), villain re-raises big, I fold, he shows KK. Read on villain up to this point is that he is pretty tight, although he just mentioned in the chat that he almost made a play, and was lucky that he didn't (after another player raised and showed off AA I believe). Very next hand: I now have about 850K, raise to 220K from UTG with AQ offsuit. Villain pushes. Hero.......If you saw my "rail me" thread (yes I am vain) then you know the outcome, but I would still like your input. Thanks! I hope this post isn't too much of a mess....I wanted to use the converter, but like I said I have no hand history.
mk 11
this new computer does not save my hand history. Does anybody know why, or how I can change this?? Stars GUI->Options->Instant Hand History Options As for the hands... Hand 1 - call call call call call call Hand 2 - with an effective M of less than 5, just move in preflop. as it played out, i still call getting better than 1.5:1.

Footballguru 0
hand 1- i would usually call unless the table is extremely favorable. meaning they are playing too tight and I am able to steal blinds without much resistance. if the table is good and aggresive, then this is a mandatory call. In general, i would lean toward calling since even if he has a pair, I am getting proper odds with the blinds+antes in as dead money.hand 2- much tougher. compound it with the fact he showed KK the hand before, and it is as tough as a decision as you can have. if he doesnt show KK, I insta call...lets see u had 850k, then 630k behind after your raise. then pot contains his 850+220+90+3k(antes?)=1.15 mll and it costs u 630 to call, so a little less than 2-1.Id say his most likely holdings are KK,JJ, AK. he is prob not doing this with any hand u can beat. at best you are a flip. A call here is not a bad play, but I think I would wait for a better oppurtunity. If I had a little less chips at the start of the hand, about 700k, I would be in the pot no matter what.HTH
Actuary 3
I call immediately in hand one.Gamble to get to big payday against a wide range that you will be ahead of a lot and not eliminated if beat.hand two..I'd call...but like MK..I push first.with Mbarely over 10..I am curious what yuo are raisng 3.5 UTG with and folding to a raise.I'd imagine you had to expect a big raise at this stage with players looking to take advantage of those just trying to move up.btw, I don't play MTT's. gregdon8 0
hand 1 I call. range is too wide and you could very well be in a dominating position. worst case is coinflip, and there is dead money in pot.I take this chance to give yourself better shot at getting to the top 3 and the big paydayhand 2 I also call. It is possible that he has Ak here, but unlike guru, I think him showing the KK was setting up this steal raise....If I put that much of my stack in the pot, I have a tough time folding when you are getting almost 2 to 1....it is a tough call though by all means
timwakefield 68
with Mbarely over 10..I am curious what yuo are raisng 3.5 UTG with and folding to a raise. You mean on the hand he showed KK? I held A9. I was UTG+1.I think you and MK are right, hand #2 should have been an obvious push.
Actuary 3
You mean on the hand he showed KK? I held A9. I was UTG+1.I think you and MK are right, hand #2 should have been an obvious push.i fold A9 there in the first place, fwiw
timwakefield 68
i fold A9 there in the first place, fwiw5 handed? I had been playing extremely tight at final table, but picked a bad time to loosen up.
shpaget 0
Hand 1 - callHand 2 - probably play A9 the same - I might even go for it hereHand 3 - push to begin, but call the way you played it
cdipierr 0
Hand 1 -- Insta-call. I think you find yourself against Ax a lot and sometimes even Kx. Worst case scenario, he has something like QJ or 88, and you're still not bad.Hand 2 -- Definitely push AQ preflop, but as it is I probably call here. I think the villian makes that play with AJ or AT. Even if he shows us JJ, we're still getting the right price. Only hands we're afraid of are AK, QQ, KK, AA ... and that'd just be bad luck 5 handed here.
Actuary 3
5 handed? I had been playing extremely tight at final table, but picked a bad time to loosen up.given your M and the nature ( I presume ) of stacks to bully here.but if you have seen table full of passives or others who just want to play safe, then it makes more sense...But I"d raise more because I don't want action with A9. checkymcfold 0
hand 1: call, easily. you're dominating him about 1/3 of the time and a race the other 2/3. hand 2: i agree with the preflop push. that said, i call the reraise as played.

Hand #2 I called, opponent showed AA and I lost.Well played both times. hand 2- you gotta go broke there, nothing to be done about it!!
throwemaway 0
Easy call on the first one like everyone saidAlways nice to win racesTough luck on the second hand, but opponent played it well by just pushing again, and obviously is a huge luckbox to pikc up KK and AA back to back 5 handed...Like everyone else said though, open push is prolly your best play in order to max. fold equity
