Napa Lite 3,278
Almost killed myself last night on the motorcycle. Somebody stopped suddenly and I was following a little too close and lost focus momentarily. Had to jam on the brakes but fortunately I have world class reaction times and balance and I was able to keep it upright even after locking up the wheels and power sliding into a bunny hop. Essay21 2,385
Lately I've been thinking about getting a bike. I'd need a place to keep it, but I think at some point in the future I'll own a Harley.

Napa Lite 3,278
Don't worry about me, I'm going to live forever. Not sure I can say the same for Florence but I'm going to do my best.
Napa Lite 3,278
I'm not a Harley fan. Too loud for my liking. But if you were to ask any Harley rider they would say that they like them loud so people can hear you but I think that's bullshit with how well soundproof cars are anymore. Just look at how oblivious people can be with emergency vehicles and those things are exponentially more noticeable. They just like being loud and annoying pedestrians IMHO. InternetExplorer 2,609
I like the episode of Louie where he gets a motorcycle. great episode all around. it's on Netflix, Google the episode and watch it. don't need to even know about the plot or anything, it's like Seinfeld.

David_Sklansky 1,902
The only intervention I've ever received was not for my drinking, drug use, debilitating poker obsession, or porn/sex addiction. It was over a 350 dual sport bike that I barely ever used. My partner and xer mother shed tears in an ill-regarded Italian chain restaurant, after springing a trap on me and insisting I was going to die. I'll say this much: I'd rather have an intervention for my drug use as a Macaroni Grill or my drinking at a Fazoli's than one over a motorcycle at an Olive Garden.
brvheart 1,750
Macaroni Grill has one of my favorite all-time dishes: Penne Rustica. Of course I just make it at home, and it's great. But I have to give them credit for introducing it to me. The way to my heart is salted meat.
Essay21 2,385
Olive Garden shits all over Mac Grill. Gimme those breadsticks as part of my last meal.
David_Sklansky 1,902
The way to my heart is salted meat. A good, properly cured meat is underrated, I'll admit that much.
Essay21 2,385
A properly seasoned breadstick, fresh from the oven is the way to my heart. I like to get the salad dressing and dip my sticks in that sweet, tangy goodness. Fvckin orgasmic.
David_Sklansky 1,902
If "proper seasoning" means 80% salt by mass, then OG has the bread game on lock.
Napa Lite 3,278
Saw a lot of people riding double on mopeds tonight. As a rule, i do not give mopeds the motorcycle wave but a girl riding on the back of one had my same captain America helmet, of course I wasn't wearing my helmet, and I would have waved to her if I wasn't using my clutch lever at the time. Giving/getting the motorcycle wave might be my favorite part of riding a motorcycle.

BigDMcGee 3,352
I'm such a nit when it comes to motor vehicles. I wouldn't dream of getting a motorcycle, The idea of riding one fills me with anxiety. I honestly think people who ride them either are on some level suicidal, don't understand statistics, or are pathologically addicted to danger.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
Those last three posts really work. Essay, get a side of Alfredo sauce and dip your OG breadsticks. Lifechanging. Brvy, my wife loves the penne rustica. I make a similar dish, only with chicken.

brvheart 1,750
Brvy, my wife loves the penne rustica. I make a similar dish, only with chicken. Well, technically, Penne Rustica already has chicken in it. It has three meats: chicken, shrimp, and prosciutto ham. I am super happy to hear that it's a favorite of hers. I can hardly wait until you guys come to Chicago and hang out with the wife and I.
