holdemily 0
saw this posted on the full tilt forum. http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/onlin...r-play5349.html ----------------------------------------------- Hey everyone, We are starting to experiment with some different starting chip stacks, for tournaments like the $200k and for some bigger WSOP Qualifying Tournaments. Keep an eye out for some "Double Stack" Tournaments. The first one is today (January 25th) at 5:00pm EST, a $30+3 NLHE. Let us know if you like them!
doublemeup 0
They're copying but thats great for FCP'ers at Full Tilt. I wish UB or Prima would start running those tourneys.

ajs510 122
Those deepstacks tournaments are the hottest things going over at Stars...perfectly natural that Full Tilt would want to copy the idea and get some more traffic. In a totally unregulated industry, there's nothing stopping them from stealing the idea.

Definately nothing wrong with that.
HoosierAlum 0
This is awesome. However, I dont see the deepstack tourney listed on FTP?

AceJackOffS 0
It's not like stars invented tournaments with larger stacks and longer rounds. It's a lot like "real" poker tournaments.

solo319 0
There is a $30+3 soon. Is it really worth it. Full tilt seems to have a great tournament structure with plenty of room for play. As far as a "real tournament structure" the casinos around here offer 2000 chips with 15 minute levels its rediculous.

If you can get a stack after 2 hours or so, and win a couple races, its pretty easy to make good money, but the amount of skill involved in the tourney as a whole is not very high. TheCinciKid 0
This sounds like an awesome idea. Too bad I now have a job and no time. And a small enough tourney roll that $30+3 is a little extravagant for me.
NOFX_PUNK 0
I havn't had much luck in deep stack tourneys myself and I was wondering how u guys adjust your play for these games? Do you play more loosely? Bet more to intimidate callers? Call more hands?

pong1092 0
Not really a deep stack tourney. Has normal structure just double chips instead of like 5x or whatever pokerstars gives you. I am still in. majority of players at the start were a lot tighter then in normal full tilt tourneys. Fell down to 500 on the third level but now up to about 10000. I like these tourneys I dont think it makes them quite as long as I heard pokerstars deep stack tourneys do.

zimmer4141 0
This is a great idea IMO. My only problem that I've had with FullTilt tourneys is that you have to gamble early because if you maintain your original stack, 20 minutes in you have 30BBs left. I think I'm gonna love these.
