DrawingDeadInDM 0
Dealers who are watching TV and slowing up the game, especially during tournaments. For the most part, poker players are very annoying people.Actually, Dealers can make or break the experience of playing live. At my B&M, we have some very good dealers, who keep the action moving, that are personable, funny, whatever. There's one though, I want to punch. I refuse to play a hand when she's dealing. She's slow as all get out when she's dealing, she has no real concept of the rules and is just generally annoying.I was in a pot with a guy, and I got him to lay down top pair when I had a worse kicker. He showed AJ, I had A8. I showed him the ace and slid my cards toward her. She immediately flipped the eight face up.I lost it. She said, "Show one, show all." I tried to keep composure, and told her that "Show one, show all" means if you show one player your hand, you must show all of the players. The floor eventually came over and told her not to do it again, but I was already irate. It killed my table image as a rock, who only put it in with the best hand, and I ended up leaving. I still won't sit when she deals.

I've had a few of those myself and have sen even more. Last week I'm in a 3 way pot with the King high flush at the river. Player moves in and another folds, but shows her cards to other players. I ask to see them and dealer tells me I can't. BS!!! I get the floor and one of the mucked cards is the Ace of the suit, giving me of the nuts.Everybody thought it was the wrong decision, except for the player I busted!I still won't sit when she deals. I would be quite hot too.I was pissed. Then she was telling the floor, "Show one, show all." The floor man just kinda stared at her and said. "If there's no showdown, and he doesn't show anyone else his hand, you don't turn any cards over. That's it. Period. If you do it again, I'll write you up."Then she mumbled something about how, "It's not my fault he doesn't know the rules." I wasn't sure if she was talking about me or the floorman, either way she was wrong, but, I chose not to say anything. It really did cost me money--like, literally. A guy called me down when I had top two and he had a gutshot, which he caught on the river, because "I saw you tried to bluff with that hand."That's when I left.

Scanner313 0
I love live play, but I can't stand when you've got some idiot who always forgets to shuffle the second deck when it's his turn. And the same clown never posts his blind, and he puts his raising chips directly into the pot so you're not even sure he put in what he said he did, and he string bets constantly and then argues for 2 minutes about how it's a stupid rule, and he smokes like a chimney with his smoke clearly hitting you dead in the face but he doesn't do anything about it until you say something, and...Oh wait, this is the same guy who calls all-in bets with 3rd pair. What am I saying, I love this guy! :)I'll definitely take live poker over internet poker any day of the week.

This story actually pisses me off because I can really see where you're coming from (I try to have that same table image and never show my bluffs) Ive had friends in home games flip up my cards when they were mucked, and let me tell you, they didn't do it again
Lobo 0
I must have ADD or something because live play to me is so slow. benhoug 0
Call me compasionate, but I'm not a huge fan of seeing all the degenerate gamblers w/ holes in their sweat pants and worn-out Marlboro T-shirts losing hundreds of dollars in a $2/$5 NL game when you know they can't afford it. I mean, I know it's none of my business, but some of these people are downright sad. And all of them seem to frequent the Trump in Gary, Indiana.
