the dumbest play in the history of poker??????

Recommended Posts

OF flips up 88.Everyone: "Huh?"YW: "Huh?"OF: "Didn't think you had the ace."Turn: 8.River: 8.
I've read it three times and I still don't believe it.Do you have witnesses?
Just the young whippersnapper, the old fart, and the other 7 people at the table, including the dealer. YW looked dazed, and some guy just awkwardly patted him on the back as he got up. The dealer just sat there shaking her head and never looked up. The amazing thing was that the old fart wasn't even slightly fazed. He knew he sucked out, but he didn't seem to acknowledge or even comprehend just how profoundly unintelligent his play was. He was almost cocky, as if he had just put the kid in his place.

Wow this is the best you guys have? I had a guy that only invested like 1/5 of his chips into the pot and i had a pair of aces with a board of AJ985 and a guy called 1/3 of his chips after the river with 32. He didn't have a flush either. That has to be the dumbest unless somebody called all in after the river with 3 high.
Nahh dude not that bad. He was playin the board.

All right, 999 on the board, player A raised on the river, player B, after much thought makes a "crying call" with 94. After being asked why he didn't raise, his serious reply was: "I had a weak kicker". :club:
Funniest thing I've read all day!!!

Local B&M:Table: 3/6 Limit HE (Blinds here are $2/$3 not the normal $1/$3)Hero in SB (just coming off a NL Tourney), BB has raised my SB for the 4th time (I am a little pïssed), and the Button (a habitual caller with any 2 cards) calls.Hero has 9 :club: 2 :) .Flop: 7 :) 8 :) 3 :D Hero (SB) checks, BB bets (automattic bet, always if pre-flop raiser regardless of flop), Button Calls, Hero Calls (still pïssed).Turn: 10 :) Hero checks, BB checks, Button Bets (he will bet on the turn everytime if checked to him, and I mean everytime), Hero calls, BB raises (he is a regular 10/20 player and is waiting to move to that table and also knows the the Button will bet on the turn when checked to), Button Calls, Hero Calls.River: K :D Hero checks, BB checks, Button checks.Hero laughs and says "Can anyone beat the 2 :D " and turns over his hand.....The answer back is no with a lot of swearing....and an invite to the 5/10 table starting up....Because of that hand, when I went back to my normal Tight/Aggressive play, I went on to make over $200 in 2 hours on that table....ZenBrothers

Played B&M (so refreshing) 1/2 NL last week. Absolutely crushing my table. Pwning everyone, extracting maximum value in made hands, showing stone cold bluffs, buying guys drinks, etc. After about 150 hands, I'm entering most pots, raising half the time. I raise UTG+1 with JTo to $4. 1 caller, a re-raise to 15, folded to me.I look into this kid's soul and I know he has nothing. He barely looks 21, if that. He sat down an hour ago and is seeing/weak folding a lot of flops, but hasn't said a word. Not even a single courtesy smile for the drunk guy's jokes. He "will..not..be..pushed..a-round." He scratches his head, looks away, and his hands start to shake over his hole cards, etc. He's got nothing.I re-re-raise to $50, about 1/3 of his stack, of course knowing that an over-the-top move on his part results in mucking my JT face up with a huge smile. Kid puts on sunglasses as the caller folds (?), and stares at me for 30 seconds. "I really think you have aces, so I'm gonna lay this down," he says, with the still dead-serious look on his face. Mucks 2 black kings face up. I almost shat myself. For 2 seconds the table is dead silent. Within half a second probably 6 guys start moaning loud, I mean loud as in the surrounding tables, including some dealers, turn to see. Guys start going ballistic and ranting at this poor kid, telling him he's a jackass and is always welcome at their home games. "Holy shit," the drunk guy blurts out. "What did you have, lion (his drunken nickname for me)?" I show my JT and everyone shakes their heads.Poor kid. Laid down KK to a pre-flop re-re-raise from a LAG bully. He left about 20 minutes later without saying a word. Don't get me wrong, I played this hand pretty poorly. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I hate my re-re-raise despite my "confident" read. Point is, this poor kid completely embarrassed himself and probably won't play B&M again for a year. I just felt sorry for him.Sorry for the length.

I think I can beat that with a dumber play.I was playing an online tournament and the river made a broadway straight with no flush possibility. I threw out a huge bet just to be a dink and the other two people in the pot folded! I couldn't believe it.
Yeah, they probably lost that $1.75 pot. Then later on you donked off over $20 to them each by assuming they were fish. I will fold a small split-pot all day long b/c everytime I do it they chat: "What a f***in idiot OMG" then pay me off later when I value bet them to death. Try it. It's hilarious. Remember, don't just play the cards. Use psychology whenever you can. You can chat back: "Whoops. Yeah I know it was a split pot but I didn't want to make the rake any higher..." or something stoopid. Or just don't say anything and they'll assume you are uber-embarassed.

At a 1/2 NL table at a local casino, this kid is on the luckiest streak I've ever witnessed. He's going all in with gutshot after gutshot, busting a couple of sets and improving 2 pairs to bust nut flushes, etc.. Well anyways I can't wait to get my money in against this guy and see J-J and go all in pre-flop for 70$. He is the button and calls with.........7-2 offsuit.I win.
