I think I can beat that with a dumber play.I was playing an online tournament and the river made a broadway straight with no flush possibility. I threw out a huge bet just to be a dink and the other two people in the pot folded! I couldn't believe it.

All right, 999 on the board, player A raised on the river, player B, after much thought makes a "crying call" with 94. After being asked why he didn't raise, his serious reply was: "I had a weak kicker".
Similarly, the other day I bet middle pair on a JJJ flop and got one caller. Turn is the case J and she checks behind both streets with her ace kicker.

I think that this quote may belong in the, "You know you're playing a fish when he says" thread.And for my nomination for "dumbest play", I'd have to go with the guy who laid down a set of tens during the WSOP circut event (The Ivey-Lisandro one). That was pretty ridiculous.

finally this proves that BM is even more rigged than online play. Considering this the play in the first example makes a lot of sense.When the guy saw that he was way behind in the Hand it was an easy call.

Wow this is the best you guys have? I had a guy that only invested like 1/5 of his chips into the pot and i had a pair of aces with a board of AJ985 and a guy called 1/3 of his chips after the river with 32. He didn't have a flush either. That has to be the dumbest unless somebody called all in after the river with 3 high.
Dude, you made that up. Seriously...you made it up, unless he misread the board and thought he had a straight...in which case it's dumb but not at all the worst play ever.The original post IMO is one of the worst I've heard of. Calling 240 with only 15 invested when you know you have about a 5% chance of winning?

I did not make that up. He said after the hand "i knew you were bluffing." so i guess he thinks that if somebody's bluffing he'll call them with anything. Why would i make that up anyway? To get more cred on the FCP forum?

After I raised preflop in a live 5-5 NL game with 1010, the board came AKQ, the guy led out, and knew he wasnt that strong, so I said "I'm all in" but didnt move my chips, the guy goes, well place the bet out then. Well $100 bills play on this table, and i had about 7 of them, enough to have them covered, so i slung them into the pot. But as I did this, the bills cuaght my cards and flipped them face up on the table, which i did not notice. He calls me in a heartbeat and shows Q8, i looked at him and said "wow man, nice call, how could you think you were good?" He didnt say a word, just pointed down at my cards. I looked, and just laughed. What a bad beat that was.

Ive got a decent one. Playing at my local poker room flop comes 885. First guy bets second guy calls.. turn is a 5 first guy bets second guy calls....river is a 3...first guy fires out another bet and seond guy calls immediately. First guy goes to muck his hand as he says "**** i missed" but second guy turns over pocket 2's. First guy says "wait a minute" and turns over 67 and scoops the pot with his 7 kicker. :shock:

One of my favorite play a donk made on me was we had a local tourney and there was about 55 people there place paid top 10 I was chip lead and the bubble was on so I was gonna be super aggressive. Im BB with J 9 hearts and donk min raises on the button so I callBoard reads667I check donk checks( at this point I was planning to steal it on the turn)but turn was a 7so I checkedshe bet and I quickly called cause I knew she would fold if I made a big bet on the river I was doing it all night river a 3I just go all inshe thinks for a while keeps thinking someone finnaly asks for a clock and she calls she got pocket 4sI show Jack high and take it down..3 pairs not good there
