JMHeel 0
I'd like to find several decks of playing cards onlike that are of the highest quality possible so I can host some home tournaments. Does anyone here know what to look for when it comes to the casino quality decks? Are some better than others for durability, etc?? Thanks,JMHeel
The Future 0
I only use KEM cards. http://www.kem.com/arrow.htmlThese are like the ones used in Rounders, and the ones I have. Get the Poker Size Regular Index. These are 100% plastic, washable, and last for years. Expensive at around $12 a deck, but worth it.I wouldn't waste money on anything else.Jason
jonnyhockey 0
Yep, Kem, hands down, no doubt.
wrto4556 0
I bought some of those a while back and they are still good. They are plastic and so, washable. They bend without creasing...they're awesome.I think they even have a warantee but I can't remember for how long.
THE ACE IS BACK 0
1. KEM..... 2. Piatnik. Both are good.. I heard KEM was re-organizing or something so they might be a little hard to come by.. kem.com offers some nice decks..

Pupsta 0
I love my KEM cards, i got them off of ebay for $15 a deck, and i love the design and love the feel, love everything about the decks. KEM is definitely the way to go.

kenmears 0
I just bought some Copag and they are great. I went with the Bridge size regular index. I believe that is the size used in most casino poker rooms. They were $14.95 for 2 decks, brand new, free shipping and arrived in 3 days. Let me know if anyone needs a referral, I bought them from a dealer on EBay.
Smasharoo 0
I just buy bulk packs of Bee's.Plastic cards are for posers. Real players enjoy ripping an old deck in half and openening a brand new one at the table.
Ebonwoulfe 0
I do that with KEM cards, I imagine the BEE cards are easier to tear though

Rob-L 0
Any 100% plastic cards will be good. Plastic, not plastic coated. But there are good plastic coated cards too - they just won't last for years and yearsFor good plastic cards Id' go withKemCopagA PlusFor plastic coated go withBeeBicycleTally-Ho
DiverDown4 0
You can get cheap casino cards on ebay, Stardust have some good cards, bellagio, the best ones ive seen so far have acutally been binions, they cut the corners so small that you cant even notice that theyre not perfectly rectangular............ TarHeelAce 0
Hey JM, are you a student? I'm a senior at UNC. I like the Felton picture by the way.
JustinHEMI04 0
I am sure many people already recommended KEM. I use them exclusivly in my room. In addition to being durable, washable, etc, if on DOES get damaged, one phone call and they will get you another. I recently had the paint smeared on an Ac, they replaced it no questions asked.Justin
Opp234 0
KEM is awesome i guess
MilesZS 0
I just ordered some Copags off of ebay. I know most ebay sellers are also propoganda-artists, but it sounded pretty good -- like Copag may be getting a leg up on KEM if not now, in the near future. KEM still has the name and community support, but I'll let you know what I think of the cards
The Future 0
I ordered some Copag cards for my bro for Christmas, and the only complaint that he had was that the red on the 's & :diamond:'s was really light, almost pinkish... not dark red like the KEM cards.Jason
Trip Draw 0
I bought 4 packs of cards from the following site: http://www.kardwell.com/I already had tonnes of Kems and wanted to see others are. My only interest was in 100% plastic cards. Here is my rating:A+ - CCompass - CDal Negro - AFive Star - B+I also bought Copags from a different site and they're good as well. I would rate Kems similar to Five Star and the clear winner are the Dal Negros. Not only do the Dal Negros sturdier, heavier and have a better "feel", their designs are not as cheesy as Kems (IMO). Ventrick 0
KEM's are the only way to play.
JustinHEMI04 0
Just an update on KEM cards. They have recently been bought out by the american playing card company (bicycle) and are not currently in production. Any KEM cards you find out there are the last of their breed. They are collectors items actually. Bicycle WILL NOT honor any of the old KEM guarentees any longer. I found this out when I called to have another card replaced today. However, the information the lady gave me sounds promising. When they get the factory going again, they are only going to offer the KEM arrow wide and bridge sized cards initially (new designs to come with time). And, they are supposedly improved on from the original KEM formula (better, if it is even possible.) Additionally, they WILL replaced damaged cards or decks that THEY have produced. So if you are playing pre-bycicle KEM cards, you may want to consider putting them away since replacements are no longer available and they are bound to be collectors items someday. I just bought 6 more decks to match the ones I have for replacements and collectibility. Justin
Rob-L 0
Just an update on KEM cards. They have recently been bought out by the american playing card company (bicycle) and are not currently in production. They were bought out by the U.S. Playing Card Company, not the American Playing Card Company. USPC Co. makes Bicycles and Bee's and several other brands. In turn, U.S. Playing Card Company was purchased by Jarden Corp. There are still plenty of KEM's out there.
