Who Worst Professional Poker Player?

Recommended Posts

Im going with Viktor Blom aka Isildur1.

I am amazed that he has become a millionaire playing poker online. He plays like a complete idiot like I have never seen before for professional players. He would be easy money if I ever played him. Online, he is often behind in an all in and rivers a suckout. Live poker he cant hang at all.

Isildur is likely one of the best professionals, not the worst. He has a unique and difficult to play against style. He is fearless, smart and has a ridiculous amount of work ethic (or degen, either way he puts in the hours). He has also done quite well in live poker; he won a $100k at PCA I think and I'm sure he's +ev in the big live cash games.

What about his game makes you think he'd be "easy money"? Phil Galfond, who may be the GOAT online poker player (imo), thinks Isildur is super tough/good. http://www.philgalfond.com/viktor-blom-the-man-the-myth-the-legend/

Someone like Phil Hellmuth is certainly the worst pro at this point; stale old game, doesn't adjust well, isn't able to control his emoitons

That's pretty funny, I didn't see the "it would be easy money if I played him."

It's too bad Isildur won't come down and join you at your bowling alley 1/2 game where you buy in for 60bbs. You could really show him then!

He seems to be a donk player. Donks allin with the worst hand, gets called by the better hand and sometimes he rivers a 1-2 outer suckout. He bluffs way too much and gets caught often. Hes too hyper agressive, a smart player who isnt afraid to play can easily beat him. Im not at all impressed by his play.

I agree with Phil Hellmuth and his stale game. I think he could be a lot better at cash games if he adjusted his play. He is still a good tournament player though.

200$ - 300$ ≠ 60 bbs

I love hyper agressive players at my cash table like Isildur. They go all in thinking Im weak when I played them and I take their money. Then after a while they start to get scared to play like that when they are in a hand vs me because they have no idea what I have. And these type of players respond to reraising all in to raises, but cant handle others going all in vs them.

Alright if nobody else is going to say it I will. You sir are a complete idiot. Are you seriously going to sit here and say Viktor Blom would be easy money? If that was the case, why aren't you getting all your money together and sitting at a table with him and taking millions from him? Oh wait that's right, because you are a complete retard and he would crush you. When you are watching tv, most often times they don't show every hand so you have no idea what a player is thinking at that point in time. You aren't taking into account previous reads or history between the players (believe it or not most pros have played against each other quite a bit so are quite familiar with each other's games). All of these factors plus a lot more influence decision making when playing the hand. Basically what I'm saying is you have no idea how complex hands on TV really are. You are simply an idiot who sits back and thinks oh wow, look at that donk raise all in with middle pair. HAHA I could just play like a super nit and take all his money. Keep thinking you could beat one of the most difficult aggressive opponents poker players have ever seen.

And btw, I'm nominating you for worst dumbest FCP member ever.

lol @ anyone treating this dupe like a real person. This guy's leveling the shit out of ya'll.

yep, I'm definitely in this camp. I mean the OP reads like something from back in '05 posted by some random that just took down a 180 $5 tourney and just knows he is the shiz-night.

I suggest you re-think your opinions. Doyle Brunson probably has given the poker world the best wisdom available: you have to give action to get action. I think players who demonstrate a wider range and more flexibility on hand values tend to maximize profitability.
