ajs510 122 Posted June 21, 2013 Share Posted June 21, 2013 I have no understanding for why Las Vegas continues to tolerate the hooker cards...it kills the entire vibe of the Strip itself having to ignore 25 guys thrusting cards at you every time you walk somewhere. *Edit* A little research seems to indicate that it's a First Amendment issue. 1939 SCOTUS decision on handbilling. Its really annoying..I want to know how they get paid..Was gonna ask them, but I doubt any of them speak English...Who pays them, how do they prove hooker was ordered through their card? Is there a quota they have to give out? Makes no sense...In my opinion, bring the actual hooker to hand out the cards..or a hired sexy model type...Then you have something.. Last year we were all remarking how those guys had disappeared, didnt see even one guys last June. This year, I saw 2 guys on just one of our walks on the strip, and thats all. I got the feeling they were now banned and these 2 were just out there doing what they could. I dont get really annoyed by them, there's already hordes of people I always have to walk around anyway, and if someone pays these guys to stand, good for them. The only thing that would make me uncomfortable is if I was there with my kids, and I like the fact these guys make it inappropriate for kids. Its Vegas, you really shouldnt have brought your kids. lol. I cant believe how many strollers I see around Vegas at 1am or even later. Like WTF are you doing? Link to post Share on other sites

I hate that spot, I wish they could go back to the recent room they had the last few years. Maybe they are only one one side of the strip..But they are there...The water people are growing now too...I saw one family of 5 kids all hawking water...So sad..But at least they are doing something..Two interesting signs: "Kick me in the nuts for $20" "Need $10 for weed" I ALMOST gave it to him for being so honest. The kids stuff blew us away too..Especially since we have two kids and our friends have 3..Strollers at 1 am in the casino is common place..Dont bring the kids to Vegas IMO. As much as I love my wife and I had fun, going alone or with guys is a totally different experience. I feel guilty leaving her alone when I go to play poker, at least this time, our friends were with her.. Here is a story from our friends..Sevag's wife mary loves to play roulette..The whole trip all she is doing is betting 16 Her favourite number..It never comes up..So one night she starts going crazy and betting $50 ...Sevag says wtf are you crazy and makes her stop..The next two spins on the wheel 16..Back to back...$50 times 35 is $1750...Usually if you hit you let it ride for about a $100...So it would of been a huge hit...THey were really upset.. My buddies dont believe me when I tell them I dont gamble..I literally placed no bets on Roulette, Craps or BJ..I wanted to but not at the Strip limits..We just didnt have time to hit downtown this trip..Played a bit of slots with my wife..I slayed the beast Lucky Larry for $60 at the Wynn..Put in $20 which equals 2000 credits..Was down to my last 70 , when I hit a 8000 bonus...Suck it Larry... Arp please join me next time..If I tell my wife I am going with my honourable, mature , Armenian friend Arp, she will have no problem with me going for a week. I just gamble for the entertainment value of it, I have no expectation of winning and generally don't. Gonna do it up a little different this time..I am going alone for 10 days..Wife will join me the last 3-4 nights.. Then I love playing the low limit tourneys, that can last a day..Next thing you know you are running out of time.. I can understand 2 weeks of degeneration is impossible though. Yeah, I can't just hang at the poker table all day, every day. I have to move around, play some craps, have some drinks and just "do" Vegas. I also play NL poker instead of LHE, so three buyins can tend to disappear pretty quickly leaving me not much to do for the rest of the day if I stick to my daily budget. The FCP Vegas trip was 8 days for me, and that was way too much. My last trip was 6 days and even that was too long...I think 4 days is just perfect. I was ready to go home on my last trip after the 4th day...just a long weekend of poor decision making and bad behavior and then go home. Link to post Share on other sites
