See you at the airport Sergio! Ill be leaving Vegas on the 9th. lol

Rate sounds good. Personally, I always like to book seperate though, especially since I go with a couple of "medium" rollers who managed to get some things comped and even my limited play gets some things comped.

Even my one trip with the wife, I found booking flight+stay seperate was better.

Adams right, flights have gotten much more expensive the last few years. Based on my travels for same time every year, I used to get for $300/$400 max, now I had a tough time finding under $600.

does that include resort fees?

I like Aria, nice place. Try a $50 trick. Worst case scenario they cant do anything for you and they (usually!) give you back the money if they cant do anything, or maybe they give you a small upgrade. IMO, the trick is always worth it, cause really, your talking about $10 a night for something like your stay.

For me, 9/10night stay, I've even tipped $100 total, but that got us a suite and Id pay that anyday for that kind of upgrade.

12 days left for my trip. Im busting, cant wait.

Thanks arp. Resort fees are for MGM properties only? It says $25 a day extra. But to make up for it they give you 2 show tickets Not lower shows either.

I only tried the $20 trick once, at PH, and was soundly rejected. I snapped the $20 back before he got it anyways.

That is funny

Resort fees are for the all hotels on the main strip. I paid it for Vdara and Trump.

Ya, like Wayne said, I think all the casinos have them now.

Do you have an MLife card? (just an mgm rewards card)

Get one, no matter how little you play, I would bet they would comp you a day or two of resort fees or maybe even a meal, as long as you show some play. Even if its just poker, you'd be suprised what you get.

Definitely get an MLife Card. What I've found out with that stupid card it's best to put the card on your hotel room, and then charge everything to the room(apparently they're supposed to scan the card at places, but it seems like they'll brush you off, so just charge the room). For every $1 you spend you get 25 points, and it takes 25,000 points to get to the Pearl Level. Easy math says that $1,000, which seems high but considering you're already charging around $500 bucks on your card for the room you're half way there. It takes forever though to gain points through gambling, as you get 10 points per base point. In order to get a base point you have to spin $3 in Slots or $10 in Video poker. Which when you think of it takes ****ing forever. They give you points for table games, but don't really say.

I get the impression that you barely get any comps at all for table games unless you're playing black chips and above.

Not in my experience.

I have a friend who I go with all the time, and he rarely ever bets above $50 a hand. Usually a $25 guy. He plays very few slots if at all, but at like $25 a hand, with some pretty decent time spent at the table, he routinely gets comped nights at MGM and got us comped a night at Mandalay for a room that was supposed to be $400/night. It happens, not always, but sometimes.

Also, we get a lot of stupid stuff comped at the end of the trip.....resort fee, reasonable meals at average places, sandwiches from the Deli. Belanger is right, we put it all on the room and hope for the best. Last year every drink we had we put on the room, and we got comped almost everything we drank at the pool, which adds up!

Again, we are not big shots at all, and I hardly play much of anything above $15/$25 a hand. I dont get a ton comped myself, but a little bit here and there.

Hope I didnt just jinx my next trip. :)

You know I never ever ask for comps. What a mistake.

Started out a Amex card many years ago. Put some business stuff on the card and boom freebies galore.

Finally started a Marriott rewards card, used up a bunch of points for a free week vacation.

If I go to Vegas again, I will get a MLife card.

Yeah it's usually green chips and above (likely black up at higher end joints) and it goes by total you bet. But it's tracked so haphazardly that I'd be shocked if they ever didn't way under report it.

That's my point, it's all totally subjective on the part of the pit boss. If you're not making it rain, they won't notice your bets and you won't get comped as well.

That's what happened with us two years ago...Cup Finals in Vegas was awesome. John predicted the Boston turnaround but didn't end up betting it.

Love SS. Like my buddy Serge, he has a heart of gold. Too bad I'm missing you guys.

It's ironic your going with Sev, cause Armen was talking about how he bumped into him couple of days ago, and mentioned going to LV. Lol, small world.

I'm here now. God I love this place, can wait til my work ends in a couple of days. Tonight free Maroon 5 concert. Woooohooo. Lol.

Last night, some guy sits next to me at the airport waiting area and immediately I know he's a hockey guy whose name I can't recall. After, he gets up and goes to lineup at the Washington flight line, and I realize it's George McPhee. All along I was thinking he was a coach, close but no cigar.

Then I saw Vanessa Ruosso on my flight. Only this forum could know both those people.

Gotta say, she is just as beautiful in person. Wow.

Lucky bastard. On being in Vegas not the free Maroon 5 tickets.

I remember sitting at the Capitals practice facility waiting as usual for my son. McPhee came in with his 2 boys. He kept screaming at them while the boys were dragging their feet to the building. You can tell that his sons did not want to be there.

Love Ruosso. I think she is smoking hot.

What a week, went by so fast after the work part ended.

I just got back on the redeye, soooo tired. I need to write a trip report, but it would bore you guys, cause it had next to no hockey, and it had 0 poker. Im honestly not sure where all my time went, but at least now I can say I rode a mechanical bull in a Las Vegas casino.

Huh?

As for the money Serge, there is plenty left. However, I did actually make some money this trip. Won playing Pai Gow, craps, slots, roulette, BJ and pretty much everything except.......sports betting. figures, lol. I dont know jack sheeeet about sports. Even a DannyG special failed to help.
