MapleLeafpoker 1,462
OH YEAH!!!I forgot about you Arp.I just booked June 1st to 9th.I didnt want to publicize your dates til you did, but I just read your confirmation on facebook.I think my reply to you was my first post on there in months. 8 days, thats it?!?!?!what, you gotta be in Pittsburgh for the finals again?we'll have to hook up sometime during the 6th-8th. Ray, you in? Breakfast on me at that place beside Riviera, IF you can score a date this time.
Zach6668 513
Yeah, I dunno Arp. I just am not really as rich as I was last year (not that I ever was), and going to Vegas just ends up with huge degen swings and drinking, bad decisions, etc. This frees me up to go to Pittsburgh if necessary, go visit my Dad, which I promised him, and my Mom is coming to Ottawa in the middle of June.I hate live poker, so it's def not a business trip or anything, so I'm just keeping it semi-low key, I guess. troyomac 0
LOooooool 100% in. We should also go play table games at the Wynn, I hear they deal royal flushes there and pay off even when the bettor doesn't know he has a royal flush.
Zach6668 513
Shaneekwa (THIS SPELLING IS DEFINITELY NOT EVEN CLOSE) was a solid 5, which is probably pretty awesome for 5 am super discount Vegas diners.edit - lol @ me pretending that I remember

Looks like we'll be back at MGM again though. Gonna see what I can find last minute.the one weekend your there is my show, 50,000 attendees....makes it hard to get great rates/comp around the Sands Expo I think, at least for lowballers like us.So we usually end up at MGM. Zach6668 513
One night at Wynn was comped, $199 for Sunday, $99 for the other. I didn't read the promo thing right, I thought I just had to buy one for $199 and get 2 comped, but I guess I suck. Prob woulda been cheaper to stay the Sunday at PH, but I didn't think of that on the phone. Ray will hate me now that I figured it out tho.

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Ok, dumb question, but please recall Im here for the FC and not the P. Im a poker novice, and never really read any other forums but hockey. Are there any online satellites for the smaller events at the WSOP? Obv lots of ways to get into main event, but do any of the sites offer sats into the smaller buy in stuff?for example:Tue Jun 8- $5k NLWed Jun 9- $2k LFri Jun 11- $2.5k 6handed LId like to play in these tourneys, but only representing dead money. So, I dont mind spending $100? to win something to get in, but I can't justify that kind of buyin, when I could be spending that money on other Vegas entertainment. Any thoughts? Are there satellites for these kind of tourneys at Rio/WSOP?I had heard there was, but never noticed any while I was there, usually just played the cash games or late night small tourneys. Thanks in advance. Dubey 1,035
I'm not aware of any online qualifiers for smaller events. However, the RIO has a giant room dedicated to satellites. How it works is you buy into a 10-person sit and go. they have a number of buyins, from as low as $60ish dollars. The winner of the sit and go gets a tournament chip for the value of the prize pool - rake. they can use that chip to buy into any wsop event.Last year, I played a $125 sat, won, and got a 1k tourney chip + I think $150 in cash. They also do main event super satellite for $250ish.
