Zach6668 513
yeah but on a Sunday night they will probably take specific requests No, I mean they don't even have access to all the games. They didn't have centre ice last time I was there. They had some other deal. Dunno, just my experience several years ago.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I love Lakers playoff games when I'm in Vegas. It gives the casino an extra buzz, all the sportsbooks are full of Lakers fans. Sit in a poker room like MGM's used to be, with a whole bunch of their own tv's, right beside a sportsbook , and you get a great atmosphere. I was jumping on that Laker bandwagon every year! Dubey 1,035
Play poker on a Friday or Saturday night at the MGM. Make sure you have a seat for the catwalk. You will not be disappointed. Is the MGM poker room fully operational now, and back to it's old location? Last time I was there, they had it moved to a roped off area in the corner.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
When I was there in June, it was back to the roped off area again, even though construction was done. The traffic from Hakkasan was too bothersome, too many people cutting through the poker room I was told. Wayne was more recent, I couldnt tell from his posts if it was back to original room, or still in roped off section. I hate the roped off area, it has no ambiance like the actual room had. I didn't even bother to play.
Dubey 1,035
I would definitely not play at the MGM in the roped off area, even if it was the juiciest game in town. Kinda defeats the purpose of playing poker in Vegas if you don't get the ambience and atmosphere of a top notch poker room.
Babying 613
It was off to the side with the ladies from the Hakkasan walking by. It was very very very good. It was not roped off.
gruven 530
It's back to a real poker room. Action there was decent, always been my experience that it's the best poker room in vegas to make money off the tourists. EASY money. If you go to the far end of the poker room, as Wayne says you get the eye candy from the clubs. Also, it's true about hockey games at MGM. Last year, when the shortened season kicked off, we grabbed a skybox at the sports book (great experience on its own, btw) but they didn't have centre ice and didn't have all the games. We booked it specifically to watch the leafs and they couldn't get that game....

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I'm watching WSOP on tv a few weeks and they show this name on the screen, one of the last like 100 left in the main event. And I'm thinking....this name sounds so familiar. But cant recall how. After some google, and then checking my old phone, I realize its a guy we contacted to get us a table at a nightclub years ago. Now, he's heads up for the title. WTF? The guy is living my dream, pretty much an amateur who has gone all the way to make millions. Lucky prick.

pezeveng 207
No more Vegas for me. Went to Atlantis last year for younger brothers stag and they invited me back. Free room, $750 in food, plus they paid for a third of my flight. Truth be told I would rather go to Vegas but taking the wife so I think the beach is a better idea.
