bbgun 0
Playing people who will call a raise with trash hands like Q 5 preflop versus your AK suited/ AA/ KK/ ect.. and go broke with one pair is a very rewarding feeling. People who play in such a way take way more chances that they shouldn't, which results in them going broke more often than better players, which results in you seeing more profit than if you played with people who knew what they were doing.FYP
Gallo 1
No sense in acting like a salesman. I put out. ^^^^This is probably the best thing that has come out of this thread.JSpencer, take the advice at what the people here are telling you, don't be so close minded and stubborn. I think it was with you that we were talking about a shove that GrinderMJ made with 56o and you just didn't get it, no matter how much we tried to explain the reasoning behind the shove. Snamuh 0
Even if I accept that your modified statement was your initial intention, how is that even true? I get far more frustrated playing and losing to a good regular than a fish, and losing to a good regular will happen far more often than vs a fish.

NoSup4U 0
Playing people who will call a raise with trash hands like Q 5 preflop versus your AK suited/ AA/ KK/ ect.. and outdraw on you is a very frustrating feeling. People who play in such a way take way more chances that they shouldn't, which results in them getting lucky more often than better players, which results in you seeing many more bad beats than if you played with people who knew what they were doing.Just getting to see this thread. JSpencer seems to be taking a lot of flack, but I just wanted to say that every word in this post is 100% true. :)That being said OP, please disregard all of JSpencer's or anyone else's advice that tells you that you don't want to be playing with fish.Mark

And if his argument is "losing to bad players is frustrating", it's a worthless/pointless argument that can and should be modified to "losing to anyone is frustrating", which doesn't really make any point pertaining to the OP and is just common knowledge. However, if you would rather play with 8 great players instead of 8 beginners, you need your head examined.

hblask 1
Though the point that I was trying to convey was that it is frustrating, and while that may be the true mindset of an "unsuccessful" player, I've seen numerous successful players both on this site as well as in real life discuss how frustrated they were over the constant bad beats in a tournament and how the other guys weren't even playing well.
