Both are $10k buy-ins.Who is going to be in Las Vegas or around San Jose during next week? What do you guys think? king_tanner 84
BOUNTIES!!!!! Bay 101.Also you could always go up to San Francisco which is not far at all.
PMJackson21 0
I'm playing Tuesday at Bay 101, so my vote goes for there. Live pro heavy field, bounties, Matt Savage tourney, etc etc. Field is limited to 200 per starting day, but in the past they have allowed alternates. San Jose is not Vegas, but if you can't find something to do in the Bay Area then you are not looking too hard. You are only an hour or so south of SF.For selfish reasons though, I think you should go play Wynn. I wouldn't want you deep in the tournament with me, especially once they go to 6 handed. :)Glgl whatever you decide.

For that reason I vote Bay 101.However, less pros in Vegas might make for an "easier" ROI for the 10K buy in.
terradawg 0
If you bust Bay 101 you are just south of San Francisco, one of the best cities in the world imo.
Loismustdie 0
Don't know if you are into this but, if you do go to Bay 101 and bust early drive down to Mavericks surf spot, it's about an hour and a half from where you will be, just follow the 1, some of the more hardcore surfing in the world is done in that spot. Fun to watch, scary to try. If you want any kind of drugs, any surfer in Pacifica at Linda Mar beach can tell you exactly where to go, that spot is on the way to Mavericks. Pacifica is my hometown, I know a bit about the area. SF's "Red Light" district is pretty cool as well, if you like theatres that literally give you VD. Good times.

You would have to check on a surf website the morning before to see if there are waves so it is kind of impossible to schedule a Mavericks trip in advance. I love Pacifica though. They have the best Taco Bell on earth lol. The whole Highway 1 drive from Santa Cruz to SF is amazing.

The drive to Santa Cruz is so worth it, and I have ate at that Taco bell who knows how many times- hundreds? I bodyboarded in Pacifica almost daily in my early twenties. Love that town. When I can afford to own a house there I will.

king_tanner 84
the strip clubs in san jose suck. They get but nekkid, but don't do lap dances, only private table dances.... which means they get as close as they can to you without actually touching you. If I ain't motorboatin titties its not worth it.

Every year I say I am going to head down there and watch Maverick's, then I find out about it the day it's going on. ONE DAY! You're talking about the competition, which the date is a moving target with a general idea, but the actual spot you can find people there year round. Also, if you are into photography and willing to get out of the car there are great spots to photograph between Pacifica and Mavericks, well worth it. And, how dare you dog the greatest Taco Bell on earth? That's preposterous.

Fluffdog87 2
After considering all the options I decided I am going to stay home. I have been traveling a lot recently and I think this is a good time for a break. I was home for 2 days the past month before I came back. When I made this thread I was 45%/45% on where to go and maybe 10% stay home. Hopefully this thread can help people who may visit the Bay area. I appreciate the opinions everybody posted. Thank you for the help and advice.
