david_keena 0 Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 won a 32 person free league tourny tuesday night to win a freeroll in a $45 tourny at local casino last night, went and played 55 players 20 min rounds 3k starting stack. ended up taking it down for $630 so i just deposited $500 on AP and have account with rakeback and and 1st deposit bonus going to start at 10nl (4table) and 1 table of 25 nl hope to get 8-10K by end of month and get roll to $600 adn with rake back and bonus start 09' at 25NL 5-6 tabling.I SUCK AT LIFE!!!for dec had 10,153 hands online for -$641.79 and +$51.14in rakeback and bonusand for live hand roughly 2.1K hands for +$936.00for a total of 12.2k hands and +$345.35for Jan1. drop way down to 2NL and STAY THERE! 2. play very little online- around 4k hands ( i have found live to be my best game always has been)3. play more live games thinking 5 a week its mostly $10-$50 home games with any where from 8-40 people. i just got into 2 more games in the area in the last week and can find a game about 6 nights a week. and most run a .25/.50 nl cash game after donkament.4. online +$255. live +$5006. stop spending live BR on stuff i want. BudBundy 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 he seemed to slowly lose interest. he also kept coming up with these interesting elaborate ideas about things. i guess that a lot of it was that he wanted to try to think about and argue these things as a mental exercise. instead of debating with him everybody just said like "no no no thats not how you play that hand you play it like this" which probably chased him away some. he has a great poker mind and was fun to talk with. plus he was the only person to PM a very nice message when i went into detox for substance abuse about two years ago. am i writing a eulogy here? lol.....Interestingly I used to PM him occasionally when there was something bothering my mind and he always managed to show me a different perspective about the subject. I was still lurking limit holdem forum to read some of the discussions although i am not playing limit for years now.Brutal avatar swapYeah , i have a feeling that i haven't profited from this swap.. If I'm not focused and taking notes, take a break. I'm pretty sure autopiloting is my tilt.-Stick to BR management-Analyze every session I play and work through trouble hands. It's been pretty absurd that in the last 14 days, I've made over $15k playing poker online.Here's my month graph so far:I'm also gonna be playing a fair amount of live poker this month, mostly when I head to LA from the 22-25 of this month where I'm sure I'll mostly play 5/10NL and maybe a little 10/20NL. Played 29,771 Figure out the vpp rate at 2/4 one night * FAIL * after having a sweet 430 BB downswing at 1/2 6 max I decided not to try my luck at 2/4Go for platinum * CHECK * made it with room to spareSeptember $452.78October $872.04November $901.35December -$169.56I attached my graph. The low point of the graph is when I decided to switch to $50 NL for a change of pace. Ah and the graph doesn't include my tourney winnings which were close to $150. NL has gone very well. I'm up over $500 in 8,000 hands and was able to cashout a decent amount to leave me with $1,750 as I attempt to build towards $100 NL. Won't be playing much untill then.-Will drop to 0,5-1 nlh and just 4 table for the whole week with.(I hope to play 30 to 35 hours)-If I win or lose in week 4 I don't care. I'm just wondering if I can keep up the grind. First time I will be playing "full-time" and really looking forward to it.For tonight I've got a trip planned to the casino Rotterdam and and get in some live hands at 2-2nlh or some 10-20 limit. A+ for that.got a small cash last night live.I have about 9 games planned for the rest of the month if i can average $50 at each one my month should end great.also have a 3 day trip planned at the end of Jan to go to a card club about 250 miles away with a nice structured tourny and 2/4-30/60 limit games going 24/7.
