That's actually not true. In most of my videos I'm AHEAD when the blinds go up. You have to respect position heads up and trying to fight that will cause to lose even more in the long run than playing those situations cautiously.

Thanks man, means a lot coming from you. I feel like it's some really deep stuff in there and am glad to hear that you "get it." As you obviously likely noticed, the theme of small ball could almost me "how to play every hand, bet em like a little girl, and avoid going broke at all costs." :-)

Okay first off, is Poker VT worth the money? If you're a beginner - it's easily the biggest steal you'll ever find. In fact, for a beginner with a mind for the game and some raw talent, it's not going to cost you a dime in the long run.If you're an intermediate player - it's still a steal. Most intermediate players may be good at certain aspects of poker, but this will give you some extra tools to start crushing your best games and improve in those areas (cash, tournaments, HU matches etc) you shied away from before.I've watched about 80+ vids so far, and I'm already feeling more confident in my HU play and my cash game play, which has always been a little weak, has improved dramatically. Since getting pokervt, I can honestly say I haven't lost a sng when I've gotten HU (11/11)If you're an expert poker player - Is it worth it? That largely depends on several factors. If you consider yourself an expert tournament player, but only an intermediate cash player/hu player, I think it's worth it, and vise versa. If you believe you can always improve as a player and even finding small edges is important (like understanding different math concepts, etc) then yes. It's also a very entertaining site, so in that sense I think it's also worth the subscription.Any cons? Well, if like me, you're over the age of 26 (a dinosaur) you may find taking instruction from a youngster a bit of a downer. Not because they're not talented or don't know what they're doing or what they're taking about. Just, as a general rule, the older and the more experienced you are, the more confidence you have in yourself and your ability to express yourself and your ideas.DN, for example, does a great job, IMO, of explaining why he does what he does. There's still plenty to learn from the other resident pros, but they are not as slick in their delivery as Daniel. Also, I want more Kirk vids. Overall, I'm a very happy customer.9/10

I had been researching the site for a while when I heard Daniel on Baltimore's ESPN radio and he sold me ... So I signed up and started at the beginner level trying to close gaps in my game basically going back to the basics .... I Havent gotten too deep into the site yet but so far :Videos load quick and run smooth (No skipping), very easy to navigate ... almost feels like a treasure hunt with a new treasure at every turn, The information is laid out simply and easy to grasp ..... Plus the site has a nice tech feel to it (Looks as state of the art as it is)Looking forward to getting deeper into the site and Learning more and closing gaps..... As I have always been taught there is always room to learn and grow!!!!Great Job and Excellent Quality from Daniel and his team!

As a non-tournament player, I'm on my second viewing of the small ball section and quite enjoy it.Lesson: If you have AA and Daniel calls behind and the flop contains three middle cards, just open-fold and start your Hellmuth tantrum.

LOL that is pretty funny and as insane as it sounds not all that bad a play! Of course, when the flop comes 4-5-7 I might still have J-10 and be waiting for a 3-6-8 to hit and rob you :-)

Since Gallo said I sounded kind of "douchey"..... and he was right..... I signed up to check it out.I haven't watched much more than Daniels' small ball section....... about 1/2 way through. So far........ this alone is worth the price of admission.

Awesome dude! Glad you like it. Makes me feel good to know that. I agree and think the small ball section alone should help people totally understand how to play low risk poker while amassing chips.

I had to register to this forum to give you let you know what I thought of it all.Yeeeess. I needed this. So many things have clicked for me instantaneously. While I'm not ALWAYS winning, my current ROI has been high once I put what I learned from Poker VT into play. I went from a frustrated heads up player, to a guy who easily wins more than not. So confidently that I tried playing a $20 shoot out tourny on Full Tilt on Sunday, to win the first round easily and of all the players left in the second round, who do they put me up against? Of course Scott Fischman, who cracks my pocket Kings with Q-5 unsuited and leaves me wobbly. But after I shook it off, it was back to the ring games, sit and goes, and smaller tournies that felt like I was somehow cheating, everything seemed so much more obvious and easy to play after watching and digesting what the site has to offer. My suggestions? Quite simple. More, more... Dear god more!!!That and some lessons I still really need to learn, while I seem to have figured out limit Omaha hi/lo (and seem to dominate at the really low limit tables), I still struggle with Omaha PL, both hi/lo and hi.Finally, money management. Disciple, you say, is one of the key factors that makes a pro, and it might be common sense, but I honestly believe I need serious training on how to know how to take care of my wins/income when I'm facing a really bad run of cooler hands, getting rivered over and over again (which has happened to me, and I seem to finally be out of!)I'm happy I signed up to Poker VT. Update always! ;-P------------Joshwww.joshmirman.comwww.punksandnerds.com

Wow. I LOVED Junglen's videos. I watched all of them as well as DN's beginners videos to patch up obvious leaks(which were embarrassing when I noticed them) and it has improved my tournament game DRAMATICALLY. I entered a tournament I normally play, the 5.50 NLHE MTT at 6:00 pm PST, keeping in mind what I had just learned and got 4th out of 1500 for a cool 400!! Obviously the system just paid for itself and I have barely even sunk my teeth in. In the thread in gen poke, JC stated how you must consider how you invest in a poker training program to earn more money which is what convinced me. I am obviously a micro tournament grinder and feel way more confident in my abilities now over the rest of the field. Invest in the program; you will not regret it!!THANK YOU DN!

I've only watched the sample videos and have liked what I see, will there be any Limit Hold'em videos? Also, like someone else said please don't eat during a video, pretty annoying.

Limit hold'em is a good idea. I wonder if there are any heads up limit specialists within the FCP community that might be perfect for that sort of thing *coughzachcough*.

THE WEBSITE IS AMAZING!! From Small Ball to Learn the Math with CS and even annette's online tournaments. SMALL BALL: what an awesome way to beat the game, it's actually supported by the math, which suprised me GREAT JOB DN. CHARLIE SWAYNE: that says it all right there, this guy is a math GENIUS, he has such a great philosophy on the game and that really helps me understand bad beats and sucking out. Dont even get me started on the N-SPAT, very nice tough DANIEL.. :club: everyone who hasn't tried it yet, it is well worth the admission fee.

anyone know how often the full table style videos...the ones with the headsets will come out.I fear those are hard to make and won't come out very often...also, what were they playing for to make the realistic??would have asked daniel in an interview but we got shunned for those smaller outlets...haha.

Not quite a review....more of an opinion.Initially was willing to make an impulse purchase just for the heck of it. Amex wasn't available so I had to wait. After seeing the intro videos and Daniel playing in Costa Rica during the roll out..... I have decided to wait and see what happens. I'm concerned about:The initial sign-up feeCommitment to the siteReasons for paying a monthly fee and a steep re-signup fee. Will there be monthly additions that justify the ratesI dunno...... it makes me wonder when Daniel is launching a Major Pay Site with his name and face all over it and then says......"I'll be writing a separate blog about PokerVT."To Daniel: When you get around to paying the time and commitment that you ask from me, perhaps I'll pay some money and attention.GL
after thinking about the 100's of dollars I've spent on books and a DVD or two, I decided that DN is worth a few bucks--if I keep it only 3 months, still about the price of both of Action Dan's books, so what the heck?hmmm, I wonder if Action Dan has ever heard about this "small ball" thing?? :club:

Probably everyone is tired of hearing from me but WTH!!!! I just used DN's beginners strategy and totally blew the table out of the water on a WSOP Step 1. I know that's probably not much of an accomplishment from some of you but........I ran them the hell over! LOL I've already paid for my initial subscription AND the first months dues. Now on to paying for the rest of the year!I'm so damn glad I waited for PokerVT because this just seems to suit me soooo well!!!!

They were playing 1/2NL and 2/5NL. I'm not sure how much they were playing for in the tournament (under "Private Games"), probably a couple hundred dollars. I'm flying back to Vegas next month to do more work in the studio (including more live games, Q&A, etc).

One question:Is there anyone who's bought it, used it a fair enough amount to give a decent opinion, who doesn't like it? Always good to hear the bad as well as good, because if there's just one bad review from a guy who clearly doesn't have a clue then it concretes the quality for me.

About videos, in all training sites you can find at least something new every week. Thats what keeps you coming back and thats what you are paying for. More then week past when i joined pokervt (even longer from its start). Not a single new video was added. Its core of every single site. On pokervt i dont even noticed any anounsment of newly added videos. Daniel wrote he will add 2-3 videos every week himself. And what about other pros? First impresion on this site is realy good, but if it willl be like one time thing to get subscribers money and then just add couple of videos per week or just dont add anything at all like now it will be terrible for this site and for Daniels name. Hope this situation will change couse every time i log in i find nothing new right now. I was member quite long time of stoxpoker and pokerxfactor and i am member of cardrunners now - in all of those sites the is something new added every day. It can be like one or two videos, some new posts, blogs, but its still something fresh. Still water starts smell bad realy fast. Hope its not the case here.

I just spoke to one of the Poker VT honchos and you should expect to start seeing new training modules within 7-10 days and then on a regular basis after that. What's holding back the new things is the time the developers are taking to work on the infrastructure, some of which you can see and some you can't that have showed up with the launch of the site. Then their attention will be on taking the training material that has been produced and putting it on the site.
