Problem With E-checks On Stars

Recommended Posts

Yes but then the other email came (posted above) mentioning the delay.
Yikes...didn't request mine until late last Monday night and got the confirmation e-mail early Wednesday morning. Looks like I should have requested a paper check.

You might've got yours in after they fixed everything. If that's the case, I'd imagine you'd get yours on normal time.

I'm waiting on one from FTP from April 23rd(requested 4/21). But that's nothing. Check out this email from bodog, payout requested MARCH 30th. I actually lol'd. I mean cmon, taking a month is one thing, but blaming it on the european greek orthodox easter, which occurred 26 days after my request was very laughable. Maybe take the holiday into account, and get the work done before you go on vacation like the rest of us. Add to that they never accepted Epassporte. -- On Tue, 4/29/08, Bodonk Customer Service <service@bodoglife.com> wrote: From: Bodog Customer Service <service@bodoglife.com> Subject: Payout Inquiry <<#xxxxxxxxxxx#>> To: ilovethecocaine@yahoo.com Date: Tuesday, April 29, 2008, 12:22 PM Dear Mr. George Jung, Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service. In regards to your payout request dated March 30th, 2008 for the amount of $350.00, we can verify that this payout is currently on the 18th business day. Please note that our business day calculations must take into account the Greek Orthodox Easter as April 25th, 28th, 29th and May 1st are all considered Bank Holidays in Europe. In addition to this, we are experiencing a very high payout volume at this time and as a result we are unable to make an inquiry via our eCommerce department until the payout time frame has expired. Should you not receive payout information by the beginning of next week please do not hesitate to contact us via email or call 1-888-263-0000 ext.2 and we will immediately follow up with our eCommerce Department on your behalf. We do appreciate your patience in regards to this matter and apologize for any inconvenience. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Fwiw I request a paper check from FTP and it was here 4 days later ( got here today).... hope it all gets figured out.
Seems like the way to go..I got greedy and the 2 days shorter the wiring was supposed to take less than a regular check wasn't worth this hassle. I'm still waiting on two FTP withdrawals.I signed up for EWalletXpress that AP uses...thoughts? (Besides getting taken by a superuser obv)

E-Wallet Express is fine for moving money from site to site of those who accept it but their withdrawal fees are massive if you want a cheque or transfer to your bank account so you don't want to use it for that.

I was told mine should show in my account in 3-5 business days (Stars). Day 5 will be Monday (overall almost a month!). I will be emailing again if it's not there by then. This has been crazy to take this long.

Specbrad, can't you complain to them and get recompensated with 100 FPPs and $50 bonus to clear like Canadianpoker did?
If it's not there by Monday, I plan on using the FT offers as ammo to get something...ultimately I want my cash!

I'm in the EXACT same situation, it sounds. If it's not in my account when I check Monday morning, Stars will be receiving the 1st over the top complaint e-mail that I've ever sent them. Expecting your customers to wait a month for a withdrawl that is marketed to be "instant" is ridiculous....especially when I already sent one half-complaint e-mail a week ago and they didn't offer me any free fpps!!!!

Here is my 2 cents on E-Check withdrawals. These withdrawals are ACH transactions and are going to be processed by a third or even a fourth party and not by the sites themselves, these are not bank wires from a site's bank account. When things are working smoothly they are great and the money will show up in your bank accounts when it's supposed to. When there are problems things are going to be worse than problems with checks since the sites have no way to directly know if the transactions are actually going through or not and are just as helpless as the players.I know from personal experiece when we had the FCP cardroom that nothing frustrated me as much as problems with ACH withdrawals as we were totally powerless. My suggestion to everybody with these is to use checks if reliability is an issue for you and to expect there to be occasional problems with both checks and ACH withdrawals. With a site like Stars you will get your money but there are just going to be times that there is nothing that they can do to get it to you as quickly as you or they would like if you're American.

Now that I know about this pain in the ass process, I will definately not be using this withdraw option in the future. Even if they say this was a "one-time problem area" with them, I don't want to deal with the hassle anymore.

This can definitly be looked at as a positive. Every time you use e-Checks and a problem occurs, you can get PS to cough up some more recompensation. So after a month or so, you have your withdrawn money + PS recompensation!

fwiw, I don't think anybody who commented in this thread about waiting a good while for their money has received an extra dime.

This just doesn't make sense. I requested a second withdrawl on Tuesday night 5/6 (obv brag). This time I request a paper check. I swear I am not making this up, but imagine my suprise when the check appears in my mailbox today 5-10. So four days for a paper check and I am still waiting for the "insant" e-check to hit my account originally requested 4/28. I understand there may be problems/delays, but with today's technology it amazes me that snail mail still seems to be the best option...

Read what I posted above. It shouldn't surprise you at all since mailing a check is a simple process but setting up a system to send transfers through the ACH system is not simple for an online site with the current American situation.

I read it earlier. Lesson learned I guess. I don't know much about banking or the ACH system. You just assume that something "electronic" would be faster. Chalk another one up to the Bush Administraion I guess. One question I do have is do they use the same system/procedure for cashouts that they do when you deposit using ECheck? Because the $$ is normally withdrawn from my checking account within 2-3 days...

I don't know if they use the same processor for both deposits and withdrawals but they are two different procedures even if they're using the same company for both.A deposit is the same as if you had written a check and clears the same way. Sending money to your bank account is a bit more complex.

My turn for a brag post. I requested an Echeck withdrawal on 4/27 and I'm still waiting on it. I have emailed asking about it and was told that it cleared Echecks on 4/30 and to allow another 3-10 BUSINESS days from then.Since then I have requested 2 other paper checks and both have been in my mailbox within 3 days from the time i initiated the request.End of brag post.

I requested a cashout on 4/22 and haven't gotten it yet and having read this thread I didn't see a reason to email them. I haven't played in a bit and went to check my cashier and the number looked a bit high. So I checked my transfer history and saw 120 was transfered to me as echeck compensation! Once again stars shows they are the best!
