i mean i think i know enough about his game to know what to do here, but ive been thinking about giving advice to ppl about how my friends play and am not rly a fan of doing it as i would not want anyone helping out another player versus me

FYI I agree with Baxters point. I checked turn because if he shoves, I dont love my hand and I basically am not afraid of giving free cards based on how he played his hand and I don't see mysself getting to much value from hands I'm beating. It confuses the hand because I can easily have a ton of aces in my range, and I don't know if govshark thinks I'm a random in which case I dont think he's check shove bluffing that river very often. His play on flop led me to believe he had something like a mid pair up to JJ and sets.

Have to disagree with the consensus here, I think fold is good even vs 20% range from both due to us being up against 4 cards. I think their ranges are tighter than that actualy. JJ is a call though.
