GabeTheKid 0
If you read the challenge thread, you read that I was going to start posting an interesting hand up for discussion after I finish my sessions. Sometimes more than one hand. I'll be calling them, GabeTheKid's Quiz Q#___...as you can tell by the title. I didn't get much response in the challenge thread and thus decided to post the quizes here. GL. lol.http://www.pokerhand.org/?1668785he's running at 23/13/1.5 over 250 hands. It looks to me like he's got 2pair. Perhaps a set he tried to play tricky - hoping to rep a busted flush draw if a non spade hits the river. Is there value in shoving the river? What else could he have? The reason I checked behind on the flop, btw, is because it really looks like I have KK or QQ and I wont get credit if I hit my flush. Just thought I should explain this line because it's a bit unorthodox but something I like to mix in my game. I'd probably bet against 1 opponent, most of the time. But with 2 players, I couldn't stand a raise and I thought it would be well concealed as I'd be expected to bet a FD on the flop.
navybuttons 15
what's the question? is there value in raising?yes. yes there is. you can't under-rep your hand and then smooth call this river.
throwemaway 0
I would shove the river everytime..I think its pretty standard when you choose to take a preflop line like you did

Snamuh 0
The only thing that scares me about this hand is his 1.5 AF. I really don't understand what he has here. My best guess would be a hand like KQ with the K of spades, though I think he's probably betting that turn. I think we can rule out TT-AA because this would be a perfect 3 betting spot for him preflop. I couldn't see him checking an ace 2 streets but TJ is certainly possible. 22 is possible but would he check it twice? 99 makes senses with the 9s. I think we have to be shoving here. Expect to be called by a straight or a set of nines, maybe TJ if he's donkish.
Dictius 0
The board isn't even paired, the only hands that beat you are the four higher flush cards.I shove and expect to be called by AJ, AT, KQ, 22 and TT.

TT maybe. The others I'm not so sure.

The others I'm not so sure.I think TT not 3-betting preflop out of position makes sense.I would check to the preflop raiser with AJ/AT on the flop alot. The check on the turn could be afraid of the flush or just some guy slow playing his hand too much, AJ and AT are less likely to show up but I still think they show up sometimes. Royal_Tour 0
This is a quiz?i dontknow poker tracker stats, so i have no idea if that means he is Loose or tight.as played, if he has post flop aggression and plays fairly loose this looks like anything from a turn float trying to buy the pot on the river, (busted K high flush maybe)this could be KQ could 2 pair, who knows, the way the hand has played out its a guessing game what he has, but given the situation now, raise the river. Hiles Mall 0
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him having a higher flush... If he turned a set or two pair, or even flopped it, i believe he would of pushed, or raised big, on the turn. I can't picture someone calling $54 on the turn with 99. Of course i didn't play with him so have no idea his level of donkishness. I'm actually going to put him on a Ks Qs royal. when do we find out what he had?
radmanjeff 0
I hope he has KsQs!! That will teach you to raise that trash!

mtdesmoines 3
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1668785Is there value in shoving the river? What else could he have?Yes. Any straight or set maybe two pair is going to be hard-pressed to not give your shove action. It's everyone's dream to get paid for 74 sooted, so you got that going for you as a bonus. There probably is NOT a higher flush draw out there because many of the higher flush draw cards that would have given you PF action are on the board. Plus, I go ahead and reveal my flush with a turn bet, since it's a low flush.
Acid_Knight 2
I don't really know what there is to discuss here. We have a flush on an unpaired board. Our hand is underrepped. If we raise, he'll likely call with a wide range of hands (straights/sets/2pair) that we can beat since our hand is underrepresented. So, this seems to be a very standard raise. Pick an amount he'll call and go for it.

Acid_Knight 2
Honestly, it was the only hand that made sense that beats you.Or any bigger flush, which coincidently, ARE the only hands that beat him.
mtdesmoines 3
Or any bigger flush, which coincidently, ARE the only hands that beat him.8s9s makes sense, too. Other than that, it has to be Ks9s Qs9s or something like that, which, while possible, doesn't make a lot of sense.
Hiles Mall 0
told ya he had a royal flush : ) most people wont call $20 preflop with Ks9s or Qs9s.
