They can't be that bad can they? Lets see if I can shift the Turbo SNG rush I'm on right now across to a MTT. I'm guessing no, but I'd feel bad if I didn't at least try!
the play is sooooo bad, like if u can just catch some hands you will almost always get paid off (@ least the way my tourney was playing out)im still steaming from it and probably wont be playing any poker again until sunday

If you actually think they aren't +EV, you are retarded. The play is horrible, yes, the structure is horrible, yes. But, in poker, there is still good decision making and bad decision making at every blind level and every M level. The better players can make a lot of money in these things long-term. Plus, they are over in about 1/3 of the time as a regular 180-man.just understand and accept that after 15 minutes it becomes entirely about preflop play.

this guy is correct.too bad pre-flop isn't my strongest area. it ranks about equal with my post-flop play. after the initial round of betting, but before the flop is out, that time when the dealer straightens the muck a little to the side... this is my time to shine.

Out about 60th. Surprisingly standard stuff on the whole. No really extreme madness from anyone. Doubled up with pocket aces, bought the blinds with AQ suited, that was it as far as any kind of hands though which didn't help.I made a bad shove with AJ and 8m into an UTG raise (which turned out to be KK, and I kinda knew it was gonna be a decent PP) but I was running in about 50th so had to get going at some point and I'd been so card dead it felt like the time.I'll have another go for sure.

WHo here has the most success playing this donkfest? Hopefully it wont be long till someone finds the strategy to beat this sng, if its even possible
Just play the field.. Offer anyone from the forum signing up for one 2.5 to 1 odds against him or her cashing. You'd have to come out way ahead in the long run.I can't fathom anything involving clicking the "register" button resulting in long term profits in these. They are a lot of fun to watch, if that's any consolation. It's like watching porno, but fast-forwarding through all the dialog.

The more I think about these the more the 2.5 - 1 action against others entering them seems to be a good tip to be honest. Without hands (or a terrifying amount of luck) you are going to be playing a vast amount of the tourney like the very end of a SNG if you want to get deep, which is tough enough against 4 or 5 people, let alone a full table. Even if working out when to shove and the shove range of opponents is a strength of your game then the amount of times you have to do it in these and the unpredictability of the opponents makes variance a much greater threat. Even with good hands or good luck and one of the biggest stacks you're never that comfortable. You never have enough of an m to play with complete freedom. You have to take risks.Mind you, I've not got deep yet, only made it to the bubble zone once, so perhaps I'm missing a trick somewhere.

In my opinion the "trick" is to play as few hands as possible, see even fewer flops and just hope for the best. You can literally play only four or five hands and hit the final 18 with an avg stack. It's sick, but it's true. Also limping with AA and KK in EP when the blinds are huge is incredibly +EV, someone will certainly raise or push.

It's because the squeeze play is so darn effective and +EV, obv.

I like these now.
I always knew you were one sick puppy. Electric Six linkage non-withstanding.

I like turbos too, if you can be a card rack for just a small while you can cruise for most of the tourney, and you also tend to have your mediocre hands up against less-than-mediocre hands.Looking forward to trying these when I finally get some funds on Stars.
Gl, let me know how that goes!
