  1. I got it Turd!Eye hole deep in muddy watersYou practically raised the dead
  2. Hmm... Why does the converter say there are four players on the flop (when there are three), and three players on the turn and river (when it's hu)?Zach and Actuary, what are you trying to accomplish with the c/r?
  3. You're soooooo far from the truth....
  4. As everyone said, fold the flop. With just a backdoor flush draw (roughly 1.5 outs), you need to be getting around 30-to-1. This pot isn't nearly big enough.
  5. Sorry, I missed that. I think it's much closer then. Even if it gets capped behind us pf, we're still looking at about 6-to-1. I think I call, especially because it looks like there will be a lot of action if we hit our set.
  6. I fold this preflop. I'm not calling 3 cold with 88.I fold this flop. I think you're looking at 2 outs and the pot is only offering 10-to-1.
  7. do any of you guys have a comment about this river?
  8. Nice hand. This looks like an example straight out of SSHE. The check-raise sucks, but I think you have to call.
  9. Pre-flop is debatable. I usually just go ahead and raise here. I don't think I mind the limp, but I think I am being affected by later action.Flop: I bet out too. I don't see what check-raising would accomplish.Turn: It sure looks like BB hit his flush, but the pot definitely justfies calling several bets to draw to 9 outs.River:I think this is the most interesting part of the hand, and I'd like to hear what others say. My first thought was to fold, but then I pulled out my trusty SSHE: "So when the pot is large, there are players behind you, and you have a mediocre hand, but there is a

  12. My buddy bought a HUGE box of peeps cheap last year after easter. He ate them for months.
  13. - I was having similiar problems related to reading for long periods of time. My doctor told me to take short breaks during which I would try to focus my vision on something as far in the distance as possible. It helped.
  14. I think his point was that Hellmuth is probably mad that he didn't get to represent.
  15. Screech, I'm confused. Is this really a call? We just have two overs right? With three outs and the possibility of it being raised behind us, I thought this was a clear fold.
  16. Flop: Depends on your read right? If he's weak, you can reraise and hope for a freecard. Without that info, I think I just call.*****replies*******For what it's worth, SSHE says AQs is a reraise on loose tables and a call on tight tables. Like respec said, "Unless MP3 is known to be aggro and a light raiser I would probably just call the preflop raise."
  17. Raising is the standard SSHE play isn't it? Is there any reason not to do this?***replies****Interesting line Screech, I need to think about it. I'm wondering why you said we have no fold equity on the flop even though we raised pf. Is it because the board is so coordinated?
  18. So going for overcalls here wouldn't be for equity. That means if it gets raised behind me, I shouldn't try to jam it like I would if the board wasn't paired and there were this many callers? Thanks Actuary for showing me how to fix my post. I've been wondering/bothered by that.

  22. In brief, the argument goes something like:The perfect order and function of objects in this world is proof of god's existence. The construction of humans, animals, plants, etc. is just too perfect to be the result of random chance. The argument is pretty old and shows up in the works of some good, though erroneous, philosophers (e.g. George Berkeley)This thread was a good read for an athiest/philosophy major
