with all the winners we have on this forum, I'm surprised everyone gets upset or cares about rake on all their winning pots.wierd

not one thing...or maybe I'm not caring

It is a great show.The one thing I noticed is how much chatting goes on about the hand in play.Especially by people who aren't in the pot.You would think for the money they're playing with, the chat that might affect the current hand would stop.It is definately the best poker show going.

call and ask if they recieved approval from the city before you fork out the dough.I've always wondered and didn't beleive it was possible or allowed.Thats why I never entered. Of course I live two blocks from my B&M.I also could never get a straight answer from anywhere that I searched.Like a previous post, the establishment is recieving 1. the rake, and 2. increase in food/beer sales as a result of holding the tourny. I'm under the impression from the little info I found is that this makes it an illegal tourny.Good luck finding the answer- please post it if you get the details.

In Canada - if youre playing online and youre making money, its easy to trace if youre making as much money as everyone on this forum does.Then a level of expected profits can be measured.If youre playing at a casino, at this point there is no tracking system whatsover except youre first name and last initial you give them when call in for a table.So if you went on a run in the big game and made 500,000 in 6 months and cashed out every time before you reached 10,000,the only information the casino has on you is the name you give when you reserve a table.The government doesn't tax gambling winn

the cash games of course are still juicybut the sit n go s are great if you like going from 45 minutes to complete toan hour and a half.

I was watching the 2002 wsop for the first time on espn classic.Listening to Helmuth flap his c washer with Gabe Kaplan.He was commenting on who didn't have a chance of winning.He mentioned under his breath that if Varkonyi won it he would go shave his head. Kaplan prodded a little then Helmuth confirmed he would do itright after the tourny with the cameras rolling.I missed the end.Did Helmuth stick to his word or did he reneg?Thanks in advance.

I'm a full time grinder at my local B&M 1/2 100 max who loves the stradlewhen the cards aren't coming.After 5 hours and every hand was pretty much as good as j 4 off, I was down to $38 at a super loose table. I figured it was the way the cards were coming for the day even after what seemed like 20 seat changes and 4 table changes. All the tables were so loose, my super tight style wasn't going to work this dayFrustrated with all the junk, and crappy results, I stradle for 38.7 callers- yes callers.when it was all said and done, my 2 3 off, held up for 2 pairs, and I got the f out of do

Thats pure trash.I feel for ya. sounds like a hyper aggressive, reckless player I was playing with this morning at my b&m 100 max nl reraising 75 with any ace and preflop without an ace up to 25 with junk and hitting. Of course this put everyone on tilt when he was over betting everything and hitting- the table was a train wreck for what seemed like hours. I got the F out of dodge and moved to a table where poker was being played.I knew my first table would be juicy and once the joke busted out, I went back, and my belly was full.Frustrating as hell seeing what junk is winning pots.Proba
