I have not played these, but....That is probably a good mindset to go in with, but you need to observe the players at YOUR table and adjust accordingly. Figure out which ones are the dopes, and which ones have game. Adjust your strategy according to who is playing a given pot. I don't think you can go in with a "one size fits all" strategy and think that it is the way to go. Observation and adjustment is your best bet.

A number of people in the circle I'm in have been contemplating that very thing.

When I do, I'm usually a lock for the Wednesday game at Pizza Time Saloon. If I may digress, I have been playing regularly now in Tristaterounders' Tuesday night tourneys. It's a good game. I understand you have threatened to make it there at some point, you should. I noticed that there are some empty chairs tonight if you are interested.

That's how it is in PA. The poster from Pittsburgh seemed to describe cash games at the bar; that would be a no-no. There is a company in SE PA that runs a bunch of them and they are run well. I don't play on-line so there are no hours spent there. I play in a small cash tourney once a week now, before that I was playing in bar tourneys. All of this started (me playing poker) more or less in April when I wanted to go to the bar tourney down the street. I told her that I would give her half of anything I won playing poker.
