  1. Using my excellent powers of deduction, I have determined that the pot is at least 7 bets. I agree; that's a mistake for that board and position. If it's say 2/4, he loses what, 52 cents by making this call?
  2. I see Play Poker like the Pros is available at Amazon used for 18 cents. When it gets down to 11 cents, I suggest that you still not buy it.
  3. That's not that big a mistake (if at all) to draw to bottom pair on the flop in a big pot.
  4. You did the strawman thing back at me. lol. I'm certainly not under rolled for the games I play. I might be a nit. Point taken. But what else are we looking for? An "inactive" player shoves his stack into into 4 to 5 players, one is who is showing strength and the rest who haven't acted. There's "a lot of money on the table", so this shove is for substantially more than the pot size against the deeper stacks. It's a reasonable bet size against the hero, but if someone else is sitting with 700, it's really big. I guess we're waiting for aggressive action from 2 other players before we
  5. I don't see it that way at all. Before the flop, we have the second nuts. After the flop, we have the 86th nuts. Folding middle set on this flop is more like folding kings preflop than folding kings on the flop. Maybe. It's the same and I think a fold is good. So the rule is, never fold an overpair?
  6. That's not even close to the same thing. If we get all the money in preflop, then we just say, "Ha, ha, bitch, I'll have the aces next time."If a nit puts in $12 when he's ahead and $288 when he's behind, he can comfort himself with having the best starting hand. But who's the bitch here?
  7. 5 players to the flop. All the money in. Hero calls with one pair for 150bb.How sophisticated does the villain's strategy have to be to beat the hero long-term? Not very. He has to make sure he gets dealt both of his cards, I suppose.
  8. For some reason, the phrase "hung like a stock car" never really caught on.
  9. To **** with your head, obviously.7 is a villain.
  10. Really? No shit? Here's a quiz to sharpen your skills at this. (Hint: You can tell who the bad guys are because they are ugly and scary. This is a little embarrassing for those of us who liked the films, in fact.)
  11. They were thinking, "Blair Witch Project made a bunch of money with no budget and annoying hand-held cameras. Let's do that, too!"
  12. I offer a $10 reading comprehension course, if you're interested.
  13. This wasn't a surprise, was it? Everybody loses money with suited connectors out of position. The only reason for playing SCs out of position is to increase the amount you make with your good hands. That, and you can say, "Ha, ha, bitch! I made a straight."
  14. What happened? Did you get knocked out in the league championship of poker?
  15. Tough break. What year does your university cover paragraphs?
  16. The key to the AKQ is tells. All the game theory goes out the window when you can't control your heart-rate.
  17. FV is a better model in non-linear poker problems.
  18. This is just ****ing awesome. Lots of plays that are "good" would have paid that off.Your analysis is perfect. Have you considered going pro?
  19. You lost a thousand some dollars playing poker. Meanwhile, your wife spent a thousand dollars on shoes and scented candles. Telling her is the right thing. Don't be a pansy.
  20. I can set you up with a transfer from my Stars account.Oh wait, that's dollars.Shit.
  21. Like '"Ha, ha, bitch. He just shot you. That'll teach you to slowplay."Hmm, I can't see that helping. Sorry, man.
  22. That might be a skill you need in big bet poker as well. So I've heard anyway.
  23. Dream last night:I'm playing poker in some sort of weird elevated stadium. I have to go down steps and a ladder to get to the felt. It reminds me of something from 12 Monkeys. We're 6-handed. It folds to me on the button. I raise with J 9 . BB calls. Flop is 3 low , giving me a flush. Villain bets. I raise. He calls.Turn is a brick. The cut-off decides to bet. "You don't have cards? What the hell?" I say. He shrugs and doesn't say anything. The dealer (who's wearing a gray wig like an old English judge) tells him he really can't bet there, so he retrieves his chips and slinks o
  24. 6-max is a space issue in a casino if they're using real dealers and cards. If they're not using real dealers and cards, I think people will question why they aren't just playing online.
