  1. Proper size bankroll is based on your win rate and s.d. in bb/100. How much larger is your s.d. in 6-max than 10-handed? Use that ratio times 300 for bankroll size.
  2. What does AF mean?BB/100 What about those playing no limit? Does BB mean twice the big blind?VP$IP. Does PT give a VP$IP from every slot. 10-handed game. UTG, UTG+1, ......,CO, button, SB, BB. Shouldn't every position have a different VP&IP? This way if you remove the first four slots from a 10-handed game, you can get a VP$IP for the 6-max game.
  3. Hope the situation was a little bit different. With this board AQ beats AK.
  4. Another absolute from Smash. Top pros do this all the time. It's called mixing up your play. It keeps your opponents off balance.
  5. This part is clearly cheating. This part is stupidity. Not only are these two women cheating, they are announcing to the entire table that they are playing together. If they had any sense the money would be returned after they leave the club.
  6. Did you choose the wrong option on the converter? When only one combination of cards can beat, in no limit you go broke. What's poker.
  7. Freddy Debb has more class than Matusow. When Hansen won his first WPT championship, Debb said he would love to play against Hansen everyday.
  8. Last year Micheal Mizrachi had only one chip left at the start of the hand. He was forced to play because of antes. Someone decided to try to steal the pot. Mizrachi won that pot and ended up winning the WPT title.
  9. Odds are not determined by the players chances of winning. The betting action sets the odds. Also the book maker gets his cut. No matter who wins the WSOP main event the bookies will win.
  10. The stats provided are less useful than you think. You just can't lump all stats together. Limit and no limit must to separated. SnGs shouldn't be included. Do any of the vendors provide stats by position? With no preflop raise one would see 100% of the big blinds. There needs to stats for EP and MP. Although EP and MP are both lousy positions. 10-handed games are different from 6-handed games. On 6-max limit games I see about 45% of the flops. On 10-handed limit games I see less 25%. From the first 5 positions less than 10% of the flops are seen.
  11. Interesting, he really overbet the pot. T8 and 85 would be a straight. Don't think he has either. Would he play preflop that way with either hand? He could have a set. But as others have noted, dont they usually slow play those? That leaves AA and KK. Would he only flat call preflop? Dont think so. Now JJ, TT, and A9 are certainly possibilities. You're a big favorite over those. I haven't seen AK andAQ played this way.I like calling. Either out the door or chip leader(or near).
  12. This is why I dont like no limit cash games. It's a high variance game. One hand can easily wipe out hours of hard earned money. SnGs is an artificial no limit environment. Only playing for chips. Maximum risk is preset. Much better game on the nerves.
  13. Are there any pokerrooms or casinos nearby? Many sell used Kemcards.
  14. There is another way to play this. Flat call on the flop. Then if the turn card is not a diamond, bet the pot. This way he will not have pot odds to call. If the turn is a diamond, dont call you need more than 4 to 1 for a pot odds call.
  15. KQ must be the most overrated hand in hold'em. Everytime on TV when it's KQ all-in against another hand, the other hand is better. They post the odds and KQ is the dog. Dont like putting tournament life on KQ. Not even KQs.
  16. WOW, does someone have a converter that will just list the hole cards dealt to me? Want to see if I'm a lousy card holder or it's just my imagination.
  17. [color:#CC3333]Hero raises[/color], The colon : should be an equal sign =.Like this:Hero raises,
  18. With no knowledge of statistics, how would you know if you were a winning or losing player?
  19. why not? do you honestly think ESPN would get the enormous ratings and lucrative advertising contracts that accompany them if they were filming the "Podunk Classic Poker Tournament" with a bunch of random guys from Podunk? the big name players drive the ratings which make the tournament organizers and the TV stations money. They are right in seeking a slice of the pie they baked.Yes, I do. To most viewers they are just bodies. It's the vast amounts of money that's attracting the viewers. Unknowns winning is good for the ratings. Every couch potato thinks he can win. Few think they can win
  20. PartyPoker sents handhistories directly to your desktop. But they are deleted after 30 days or the default you choose.Click open a file(any file) on your desktop. Go to the address line. If you dont have an address line, you should activate it. Type on the address lineC:Program FilesPartyPokerHandHistory****** your partypoker ID goes here. Now enterThis will return the last 30 calendar days of hand histories from PartyPoker.================ I didn't notice. Did you write anything on defending your blind?
  21. Have you tried the 20+2 15K guaranteed MTT yet? Nearly 2000 entries per tourney. Or do you think your strategy is more geared to the smaller(400-800) tourneys?I've only done okay in MTTs when my chip stack was over 4K by the end of the second break. Easier said than done.
  22. Horrible? The fold can't be that bad.Assume Antonio is playing any ace, any pair.87s needs 1.48 from the pot to call. Danielis getting 1.4 on this pot. That's a marginaldon't call. Gus decided that Antonio has atempo tell. Gus called Antonio with T8 ofdiamonds when Antonio took too long to raiseall in. Say Antonio gave away that he didn'thold a high pair, AK, or AQs. Now the 87sneeds only 1.34 from the pot. This time it'smarginally right to call. Big deal. 87s isonly 47.76% against a set of random hands.Whatever Daniel did on this deal, it wouldn'thave improved his chances of winning
  23. Please explain again how this definition gives anyone the right to be rude and abrasive. Guess I've just become an old man. Also do not think gangster rap is a form of music or social commentary.
  24. Eights are the toughest pair to play. Too strong to toss. Too weak to raise with confidence. They should be called exasperating eights. Raised, called you toss your eights. Everytime an eight appears on the flop. When you play them, they lose. When opponent plays them, he beats you. If I ever discover the secret to playing eights properly, I plan to not share with you guys.
  25. The two of you each start with $100. Play the $5+0.25 heads up game. Keep playing until one player has less than $5.25. The most likely scenario is PokerStars will have most of the money.
