Hey,Sorry if i missed your reply somewhere but how did you get on?I played that tournament for the 1st time then too, i finished 452/3256 just out of the money lol. :? i played this weeks too but came 200x/330x, i just didn't get any cards and i took a stand with 99 and got busted by AJo. :cry: i won a sattelite both times so it wan't that bad.-Hardnut

The samething happened to me, 10-15 hours for a few weeks and i got burnt out, all of the cards look the same lol.Had 6 weeks - 'ish off and came back about 2 weeks ago.Better than ever!Going to cashout from pokerstars tonight and find another site. 8)

Yesterday i was playing in the 2/4 rooms.There were a few players in the pot and betting was capped pre flop.I had Q-2 offsuite, so there was no way that i could call... Well i pressed call instead of fold, $8 down the drain...Flop came J22!!!!!!Lmao, i couldn't blieve it, the best mistake that i have ever made!I made a full house on the river Deuces full of Queens.So i won a massive pot, everyone was sick, they couldn't believe that i call with that hand.As Lancy howard said " I guess thats what its all about, Making the wrong move at the right time"

If you want to know the basics then go for Phil Helmuths: Play poker like the pros - It also cover various other poker games such as omaha and 7 card stud etc..Doyle brunson's Super System was the first book that i ever read on poker. It helped me imensly - It taught me how to play the cards and what cards to play, i still refer back to it almost daily as it contains a wealth of knowlege.The theory of poker is a fantastic book, equal to super system in my opinion. I literally couldn't manage with out it!

Its funny that you should mention 100BB downswings.I had one 4 hours ago!!Playing at the 2/4 table (Which am playing above my bankrol, yes i know its wrong)I had a few really bad beats so i decided to play some computer games for a while.Just got back most of my money, still $30 down from where i started today and $90 down from my peak.I will be moving down tonight!I am getting used to the swings now :wink: :? Whats with the fake hands? 90-120??Also i am glad some people are having a good run.I have had the worst day ever, lost exactly $95.It is very depressing, its the lowest that i have been for 6 weeks.I have not been on tilt, the few good cards that i get are always beaten on the river, its amazing. Yep, since there last update it has seemed slower.But it could just be that there are more people using the site now. nearly 38k now, christmas it was around 30'ish.

I get so much spam its unnbelievable! I bought a spam filter though and it get put into it own folder for easy deletion!

Over the past two weeks i have lost alot of money playing the .50/£1 Limit rooms.For every big pot i win - i lose a big pot 10 minutes down the line (with great hands) - trips, straights, even a full house.Most of the time i have the best hand untill the river deals a death card!It can be very depressing, when you know you are playing good and still losing it becomes painful! :cry: :evil: :!: So i think i am going back to SnGs for a while!

2003 WSOP Scotty Ngyuen bets 12k and says 21, someone raises to 40k (can't remeber who), scotty pauses and re-raises 100k.He tells the guy that he can't afford to call.He folds and scotty shows an 8 3o (the guy folded a pair of aces) - Scotty says, oops i thought this was black jack (hence the 21) shows the crowdhis hand and shouts 100 grand on this hand, thats no limit baby! 8)I think thats how it went down.
