I agree with the OP. I also read Daniel's response, and while everyone at the table was "having fun" the whole thing seems to be a little off-putting.I have a question. What was the size of the second largest stack at the table? Assuming it wasn't more than $10,000, what is with the antics? I am guessing that you wouldn't normally bet anywhere near these amounts if there were multiple people at the table that were capable of covering you. First of all,It says at the top that this is a (LIMIT) tournament. So, to the poster that suggested raising 5xBB....just be quiet.Secondly, how in the world did the guy play his aces badly? Its a limit tournament, he is heads up against an extrememly small stack...you think he ought to BET with top set on the flop? Checking is the ONLY good play here. He fills up on the turn. Again, CHECKING is the ONLY good play here. So the guy goes perfect perefect to make quads. That will happen so rarely it is NEVER worth even considering. No Limit Hold em is an extremely volitile game. Yes, it IS possible to be a regular winner and make some real coin. However, most pro's (and that is what you are if you earn your living from poker) do not play no limit as their primary game. Take the advice of some of the other posters. Play Limit. Grind it out. You said that its "not your cup of tea." Well, I don't know many people that work in factories that would say that their job is their cup of tea. It's a job. You have to think of it that way. You can still use those keen senses in limit poker. And if you are a consistent winner in NLHE
