This is a blast....the biggest event I have every played was the $550 Mega Satellite I played on Friday to win my seat into the Main Event...Now all I need is for Daniel to come and give me a few tips...I am sitting in the Gold Strike Food Court

From PokerNews...A New Chip Leader EmergesBart Tichelman, the CEO of a technology firm, who is originally from Vancouver but who now calls Atlanta home, has just over 109,000 in chips. Tichelman is a self-described amateur who has been playing seriously for almost three years. Tichelman admits he is somewhat out of his element when compared with top professionals, but hopes a good run of cards and his tight-aggressive "Dan Harrington-type" style will propel him to the final table.Wish me luck...

Previous posters are overlooking that there are antes...in hand one, your M is less than 5, and in hand two it is 3.5...clear push in both cases, IMO.

Out in 4th when AQ < A9 and AA < QQ...Some random guy who's been here a long time...

I'm in.PokerStars ID = monixcBob - to be clear, is FCP/PS paying the $11 entry fee for the freeroll winners and adding $500 to the prize pool?
-
I'd play it the same way.
-
Wow...this is close. You are the 4th shortest stack at this table, which means the other 6 shorties are likely distributed around the other 5 tables. You could assume they all get taken out putting you in 35th of 39. You'll need to chip up, and this is a good spot to pick up a pot or double-up.I think you have to push.

With your read of 2 LAG's and the button limping, I'd raise more pre-flop...your 3 x BB raise gave the BB decent odds to call and then the limper's call was inevitable. I'd then lead any flop. I agree with Cop - I am going all they way with QQ here.As played, I'd lead out for 1,000 and call a push. Push the turn (if called on the flop).

armen 13 had 8hTd, and I did not fill up...
-
My offer is a straight transfer...not a stake.Your guess is close but no cigar...
-
This offer did not generate as much activity as I thought it might. No winner yet...I'll wait until the end of the day to say what he had if there is no winner...

armen13, You are being somewhat disingenuous here as you were the Villain.Anyway, enough discussion.I pushed, armen13 called.I'll transfer $5.00 on PokerStars to the first person who guesses his hand. If your guess is i) a pair you need to tell me if he has a spade, or ii) a non-pair whether they were suited or not.

So, as played, what do you propose Hero do after the re-raise?

Thank you for providing the biggest laugh I've had this week!! :icon_clap:After posting this, I was reminded of a HU situation I had earlier this week; the villain min-raised every single hand pre-flop. If he was on the button he min-raised; if I limped, he min-raised; if I raised 3 x BB, he min-raised 3 x BB...very unusual and frustrating....I lost btw.
-
Wow...that seems weak, and giving up value against most of the hands in Villain's range (AA, KK AK, AQ).After calling, what is your line on the turn if faced with a big bet?
-
With 2 limpers and being OOP in the SB I think your choices are to complete or raise more pre-flop (you only raised 2 x BB + 1BB/limper)...I would raise to 800.OOP, on that flop with 2 opponents I would not CB. I would CB if one of these conditions were met: i) a less scary flop, ii) only one opponent, or iii) checked to in position.

Someone who thinks he is value betting A5o?
-
What a poorly played hand.First you call a PF UTG raise from a TAG with an easily dominated hand (by AK, AQ) or are crushed by AA, KK, QQ.Then you try a FPS min-raise.After getting called on the flop, you push into the Villain you identified as TAG...truly horrible.
-
Welcome back Cop...where have you been for the last 2 months?
-
Enough responses now?
-
I don't mind a call pre-flop, but the stack sizes are not sufficient to call for set value. Short of getting a 10, you got your ideal flop for this hand. What is the buy-in and what does Sharkscope have on the villain? Sounds like he might be a maniacal bully with stats like 55/25. Does a good player push 4475 into a 575 pot with a monster? I'd don't think so...I'd be inclined to call.
-
Let's see:1 - Open folding is not going to happen (LOL)2 - Checking does not make sense as it gives a free card3 - Betting - a half-pot size bet is 3/4 of your stack...so you might as well...PUSH.

So what did your wrecked alter ego do?
