  1. It all depends on how much you can borrow, that's always been my philosophy
  2. Sat Jan 06 11:41:00 PST 2007Layne Flack Doubles UpLayne Flack pushes all in for his remaining $6,975 from the big blind and everyone mucks to the small blind who makes the call with 5c4c. Flack flips over 77 and is in the lead. The board does not improve either player and Flack doubles up to just over $14,000. The blinds were at 100-200. How does the sb call here? I don't get it.
  3. High Stakes is the classic example of how fun it is to watch No limit with deepstacks...Season three around the corner
  4. Dan Harrington? C'mon, tell me you didn't read his books...I'm pretty sure he's got a job, he talked about it in the interview on the circuit
  5. Without a doubt Joe Hachem is a world class player and the best WSOP main event champion in years, but I feel that only a year and a half of being on the circut is not enough time to be able to give him a top 5 spot. I'm not taking anything away from his ability though, and I think he's great, the win only proves that, but i still think putting him in with this class of player is a bit premature.Just my opinion though
  6. Nice...And I'm going to bet the over...for me as wellAnd how dissapointing is it when you hit the refresh button and there are no new posts?
  7. DN is the one playing for 2 mil and I think some people might be more nervous than he is
  8. They do a roll back of the blinds sometimes before the start of the a WPT final table, this is an example of that
  9. THe show wasn't the greatest, but I think we've been spoiled with the meshing that Sebok/Huff/Smith had, and it's discouraging. I think we just need to give these guys time, maybe it'll turn around...Don't abandon ship so fast wiht the year of quality show the circut provided us.
  10. I'm pretty sure the whole table has to agree upon everyone doing it, at least that's what I thought...I could be wrong, but I thought that's how they did it on HSP, and Matusow would not participate, so noone else did it.
  11. Interested to see how the new guy does...I heard a rumor that the girl named Jennicide was gonna be a co-host, no idea how credible that is thought
  12. 0 out of 15 pages done on an autuer study of Robert Redford's directed films. 13. Definately possible, he is a professional gamble, does he live in Vegas?
  14. Sorry for the general title, but I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were as to which poker room you guys think the best place to get better is. I guess also which one has the best players, or is that the same question? I currently place at ft 100NL and 10-20 buy in tourneys.Any body have an opinion?
  15. thanks bro, i look forward to playin with you
  16. Since the new bill passed, I decided to put money into Full Tilt like a month ago. I've been playing the 100 NL there and noticed that the games are extremely rockish and tight. I know that this seems to be the status quo for the site, but I was wondering if anybody else played these levels on FT and had any suggestions for beating the really tight games.ThanksChad

  18. As for preflop, I also wouldn't mind a fold. Lot's of people go broke in tourneys trying to steal on the button. Obviously if he comes back preflop all in your faced with a very difficult decision, getting something like 14/24 on your money. Just because it's folded around to you on the button doesn't mean you ALWAYS have to steal with an ace there. I'm not saying it's a bad play, but everything in moderationflop - Well I never thought about just calling here, but it seems like it is the best option to call down you chips with two pair low kicker. You are not going to get any more chips f
  19. Tough play. In the BB with mid pair only 15 BB, and the button raise could very well be a steal, but you are committing almost 1/3 of your stack by calling. Imo, calling is out, there are very few boards where you can feel confident about, and pushing with one or two over cards is scary to do. I would lean toward folding, and looking for a better spot to chip away. Calling here you are either looking for something like a 10 high board, or spiking a set, but committing 1/3 of your chips OOP to do this is ill advised IMO. It's still a tough spot but I have to lean towards folding and looki
  20. Imo, if you are trying to make a run at the table, I don't see very much wrong with this. First, the villian could be looking to make a steal on the button with all of that dead money out there. Second, late in the tournament, it's sometimes necesarry to take coinflips to get far in a tourney. With the range of hands we could be up against, we could even be 60/40 70/30. Also, if the villian is trying to just pick up the dead money we can consider that there is a deal of fold equity in this play. This may not be the optimal play, but since we have an m less than 10, I don't htink there is
  21. I could see an argument for leading out for 1/3 of the pot when it's checked on the flop, because it's still possible that he's holding something like QQ or JJ. Although the preflop betting shows a heavy case for assuming that he's got one of the two big pairs, we can only find this out by making a bet here. I don't know the read you had on the player at that time, but if he's a looser player who likes to take the lead with a mini raise preflop, he could even be worse than that. If we are check raised then we shoul almost be positive he has KK, AA, or (unlikely) 1010. It would take some pr
  22. WOuldn't you say that betting 3 or 4 into a 11 pot reaks of weakness? If his opponent picks up on that, it's an easy probe reraise for him, and in this case you can't justify calling (considering how much he reraises). I would say that if you're going to bet the flop and the river, take that river bet and replace it with the turn, suggesting you've got JJ QQ, A 10, or even 9's or 8's which he can;t beat in this situation. The guy seems to be a pretty big calling station, so usually I would stay away from making any kind of bluff and try to value bet each street rather than trying to desgui
  23. Alright guys, I need a little help, and since I don't have poker tracker I'm gonna have to do this the long way. Playing $100NL, I have 33 in the sb, and there are a bunch ( I think 5) limpers. I decide to limp and see if I hit a set. The flop comes 635 rainbow. It checks around and the turn is an 8, this card worries me a little bit, but I really still think I'm best. I check again, and the button makes a pot sized bet. I smooth call to hopefully induce one or two more callers and I get another caller behind me. The river is an 8. I think yes - incase someone was slowplaying 47suited
