Must See Tv With Hellmuth!

Recommended Posts

A professional poker player by the name of Phil Hellmuth did an interview on Sirius Satellite Radio earlier today. He said that he will be on the next season of VH1's Surreal Life along with Playboy Playmate Tina Jordan, rock musician Peter Steel, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. At the moment, there is no word yet as to when the new season will kick off.

Those cash games are killing him.
Phil Hellmuth said on a recent High Stakes Poker episode, right before losing more than 100K, "I've only had two losing sessions in the big game and in cash side games in the last two years." (paraphrase)

Yeah I saw that, there's no way that is true. Only way that could be correct is if he only played 3 sessions in the past 2 years.

2 Threads on the same subject (second one was linked to this one so it's all cleared up) says to me this is pretty true. I can't wait till his "housemates" tell him to "Shut Up and Play" like his father does.....that's going to be priceless!

From his website......he hasn't had many sessions. BTW, this show sounds super-awesome.For the record, I have beaten the $1,000-$2,000 and higher "big limit mixed games" for a lot of money, despite what you may have heard. Here is every play I've made lifetime, so far. In about 1996 at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic, I won $170,000 in the $2,000-$4,000 game. In Dec., 2003 I played $1,000-$2,000 and won $90,000. Then in Nov. 2005 in the $2,000-$4,000 game at the Bellagio, I won $116,000 or so. The next week, I won about $230,000 in that game, and the very next day I won another $73,000 or so. Then a bit of losing came along in December, where I played Friday night and lost $80,000, Saturday night I lost $40,000 or so, and Sunday I lost $53,000 all in the $2,000-$4,000 game. I was super tired all three plays, and should have slept Friday night, rather than hop into the game. I did lose $150,000 in the "High limit Poker" games on GSN over two plays, luckily I only had 20% of myself in that game, vs. 100% in all of the other games mentioned above and below. In 2004 and 2005, I had one losing trip in the sidegames--Aruba in 2004--until my High Limit Poker trip, and the above mentioned losses at the end of the year, in December. On those 20 or so trips, I usually played anywhere from $200-$400 (Partly) to $400-$800 (mostly). This year, I will be documented all of my side game wins and losses, and the number of hours played, here at the site or at a new site that I'm providing some content for that I will tell you about when we are launched there....Good luck, Phil Hellmuth jr.http://www.philhellmuth.com/phil-hellmuth-...log.html?id=449

This TV show is what Hellmuth was made for. I'm going to be glued. I can't wait until he tells a pro wrestler to shut up.
Not only a pro wrestler, but also Peter Steele! I'm sure there are some people on here who don't know who he is, but suffice to say he is the 6'7" tall singer from Type O Negative. A Brooklyn native who has a very low tolerance for BS.

Wow this is all liesTV.com: Would you do The Surreal Life again?Andrea Lowell: Well, you know, we actually have just wrapped Surreal Life 7, which is an all-star cast. They take two people from each season and throw them together in a house. It's a competition. So I did do it again! From an interview with Andrea lowell about the NEXT season. Obviously phil can't be in it if it's cast members from previous shows!

It could be true.99 winning sessions = 3,000.002 losing sessions = 4.2 milHeck I dunno, If he plays all cash games like the FSN one I don't know how he could be a winner. But maybe he is.

I guess since season 7 wrapped they surely couldn't be setting up season 8 yet? Could they? Surely not.

Has anyone found anything to confirm this? It seems unlikely, but would be highly entertaining! Great marketing tool to expand the audience too.
Emailed him this morning...waiting on a reply....

Oh man Peter Steel will be a great opposite to Hellmuth. I can't wait....why would peter Steel be on the surreal life? Was he ever big enough to be considered washed up and need of a boost like the surreal life to get him back in the public eye?
