Wow. Very, very, very sad... He was always one of my favorites, mainly because he was a 'regular guy' who made it big later in life (IIRC he was in his mid 30's before he hit the scene). You could totally tell by the way he lived and handled his money that he had seen the 'other side' of living during his adult life and wasn't about to spend $50,000 on a diamond encrusted wristwatch when only 4 years earlier he had been working for UPS and struggling to make the bills. He owned a bunch of real estate in Chicago and used to shoot at a gun shop I used to frequent (he was a big gun nut, too)Lost one of the good guys.
