fighter 4
This hand tilts me to no end. It just seems like a dirty steal to me, mostly because I have never seen a line like this before....No reads.I was watching a video on DC and they call this move "back raising". They said it was todays version of the limp/re raise. Usually they only do this if the original raiser folds so probably never a bluff. Also to any austalians in the challenge thread I hope that you were not affected by the victorian bush fires. FARGOpokerND 22
So the only pots with more than 20 blinds in it today for me when i have had AA or KK and i am DOWN 5 buyins.AA<JJ KK<AA KK<AK KK<JJ KK<99 aipf all of them.Somehow I am running 7 buyins below expectation today and I am still UP on day.EDIT: Here is end of day graph. chgocubs99 0
I guess you could bet a little smaller or a little bigger on the river. I think this hand is played fine, though. Now that you know he has the 3 it's easy to say you could have bet more on the river, I like that bet size though in case he has some goofy pocket pair that he feels he has to pot odds to pay you off, it lets him spaz if he wants to, and less likely but still a possibility, he reads your bet as weak and raises a worse made hand for value. For the record, this wasn't a successful chat trick. This was an unsuccessful slowroll.EDIT: Which is 100x better than a successful chat trick. Heh, that was my thought too. It makes no sense for him to not bet the turn, and it makes no sense for him not to ship the river, if he did bet the turn as a slowplay/trap type thing. None of it makes sense. He somehow convinced himself that I had AA, and only AA. This guy pot raises bottom two that he ran out on a 3-flush board without any thought. So frustrating. He bounced between a stack of like $300 and $600 for most of the match, after buying in for like $80. I got him down to like $150 a few times, and he finally quit the last time he got that low. Oh well, could have been much much worse.
NoSup4U 0
I flat big hands to back raise when there are squeeze monkeys behind me quite a bit.Me too. This is why I like being a little more passive in general pre flop with a wider range. Helps protect all the times you call with 96s.Mark
