Lobsta, you playing full time now?
Yeah, pretty much. I kinda sorta have been since mid July-ish, when I was like 'oh crap I really need some $$ and everything else I am doing isn't really giving me $$'. lolAlthough recently I have been doing a decent amount of freelance design work for the company I used to work for, so obviously I am not going to turn down consulting work where I made over 2x/hr what I was when I actually worked there. So that took up about half of October and a few days this month and I havent been able to get in as many hands as I was hoping, but no biggie. But yeah, the plan is to be a full time degen for the time being, and hopefully for a nice long while. :icon_biggrin:gahhhh AK<AK

[x] King is good at summarizing.Bank of America customer service is so bad, when I talked to them they said it was a problem on his end, when they talked to Gary Benson they said it was a problem on his end and we both bounced around their customer service for upwards of 45 minutes. When I logged in yesterday to online banking, my account read -888,889. I mean is that number really even necessary? Oh well, hopefully I won't have any problems with withdrawing (doomswitched myself there) anymore.

A good article at MW today with some insight from the AGA:articleEdward Lawrence, ReporterInsiders Look to Online Betting as Big BusinessNov 18, 2008 06:12 PM EST KLAS-TVThe economy took center stage at the largest gaming conference in the world that opened in Las Vegas. But the nation's economic struggles may actually be a win for the expansion of the gaming industry. These days almost anything is just a click away except legal gambling. For that, you must walk into a licensed and regulated casino. Next year that may change when congress goes back into session, according to American Gaming Association President and CEO Frank Fahrenkopf. "Looking at our industry in hard times, it is a way dto provide some revenue for state government," he said.Nevada alone faced a $1 billion deficit this year. The federal government deficit makes that look like pocket change. As the lobbyist for the gaming companies, Fahrenkopf says the internet may be the solution. He believes a bill setting up federal regulation and taxation of legal internet gambling can pass in 2009. "Having $8 to $15 billion, as the offshore folks say, is there in new taxes has to look very, very inviting to a new congress," he said.Harrah's Entertainment has been a supporter of regulated online gaming. Tim Stanley is in charge of innovation, gaming, and technology for the company, "Each time that there is some sort of shift or change in economies, whether they be state, local, or federal, I think these things get back on the table as far as a rational discussion."Harrah's owns the World Series of Poker and is poised to launch their own poker gaming site if it becomes legal."I think by in large under appropriately regulated and licensed operators that this can be a fun and fulfilling activity and I think that it could be a win-win," he said. A win for gaming companies that need money and as Fahrenkopf says, a much needed tax revenue for the government without raising taxes or cutting programs.================================================== ===============Sounds like they may be thinking something along the lines of the McDermott bill where states got a cut of the "excise" tax to be imposed. This option would encourage states to play. Also of note states will be assured of taxing players incomes as well. I know to some, perhaps many, this is not popular but a fact of life.Bolded the important part IMO

Maybe all the dirty stinking democrats in congress will end up being a good thing for a change.I don't really know how people gambling away what little money they have will help the economy, but whatever gets bad players to play online poker is good for me so I'll take it.
