silkyjonson 1
If you wanna play live then Fl is the place to be. they have maybe 40 juicy 1-2 limit games in every city. sw florida is the worst state to play live
SweetDaddyFreak 0
Though Florida poker sucks for the most part, the Seminole Hard Rock is a good place to play. Though the cash games will not matter for pros, the Sit-n-gos are great IMO. They range from $140, $250, $520 and $1050's and run they 24/7, even at 4-5am there will still be seats open for a $250. The structure isn't half bad either and there is a lot of play. Most poker rooms in florida suck, the Hard Rock is the exception

no not baxter 0
THe only things worth playing for a pro are the large MTTs (they have a "Big Slick" third Saturday of every month) and maybe the 1k sng's.Check out the website at www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com

Online has sooooooo much more play then these, but I still think they are +ev if you know when to shove. I believe the blinds start at 25/50 with a 2k stack and double every 10 minutes. Am I correct? Jrobb25 0
Can someone please explain the FLA rules for Poker. Are they the same at the dog tracks as the Indian Casinos. What limits is there no limit or spread limit. Any help would do.
pbcsurfer 0
They are no No-limit cash games in FL, all there is, is 1/2 limit with three rounds of betting max each round, ( 7 ppl min. in pre-flop), Then they have $2 ante game, or "Action" which is 1/2 with a $2 ante, go figure, and the same for omhah too. Tounaments are'nt good structures at all unless you are willing to throw down some cheese for the 1k buy-in, but they only have that on the last sunday of the month, and the only sitngo where you'll get some play is the 1k buy in also, Mizrachi and some other pro's play this there, but side bets are very big too. Poker is lame in FL, I like live better but if you want any chance stick to online, I've learned my lesson. But there are tons girls there on a fri. or Sat. night, just go for that and not the poker. pbcsurfer 0
SNG's I believe are from $140 -$1100, they have daily tournaments there but you just have to look at the structure, most of the time it's a crapshoot. Here you go: January TournamentsPoker TournamentsMonday: 11:00 AM / $100 Buy InTickets on sale 8AM day of tournamentMonday Night: 6:30PM / $300 Buy InTickets on sale day of eventTuesday: 6:30PM / $150 Buy InTickets on sale 8 AM day of eventThursday: 11:00AM / $575 Buy InTickets on sale 8 AM day of eventFriday: 11:00AM / $150 Buy InTickets on sale 8AM day of eventSaturday: 11:00AM / $200 Buy InTickets on sale day of eventSaturday: 11:00AM / $575 Buy In**Second Saturday of the MonthTickets on sale day of eventBig Slick: 11:00AM / $1,100 Buy In(Last Saturday of the Month)Tickets on sale one week priorSit & Go: Everyday 24 hours a day$140, $250, $520 or $1,050 Buy InSign up at Brush Stand

Omaha Hi/Lo 0
Check and see if they have a local cruise ship. I'm up the street in Jacksonville and we have the Sun Cruz Casino, which is actually a really good set up. They have NL 1/2 (4-5 tables), NL 2/5(1-2 tables), and NL 5/10 (1 table). The problem is that you can only play for 4 hours and then you have to stop and go back to shore, unless you go on the weekend when it's a freaking mad house (I can't go then, do to age restrictions, because security is really tight then...the security is terrible during the week so you can sneak right in). They also have turbo tournies which are a waste of time, unless you feel bored and want to gamble, but there is no reason to be bored with all the side game action. The structure is T10,000 with 100-200 blinds that double every 15 minutes.
pbcsurfer 0
Yeah but don't you have to pay to just board the ship? Maybe something fun to do, but I'm only 19 and I'm pretty sure they're all 21, unless you sneak on like you said, but I wouldn't wanna risk any winnings, stick to online. Omaha Hi/Lo 0
You only have to be 18. And the "door fee" is very minimal.
pbcsurfer 0
Never mind then, sounds like something fun to do, and would be a different setting, just chilling on the water, I'm gonna look more in to this now thanks for the info. man. Have you ever played on one, are the games soft?

pbcsurfer 0
HAHA sounds fun man I'm on their website now, but it doesnt show how much it is to get on, and is food and drinks covered with the boarding charge?
Omaha Hi/Lo 0
They have food and drinks on the ship but there's a really good seafood joint 2 blocks up from the thing. It's really inexpensive fresh catch stuff, it's delicious and way cheaper. There isn't much info on poker on the web site.
