Just got back Tuesday from Las Vegas, had an awesome time (of course). My friend lives in LA, so I usually fly out there, stay for a couple days, then we drive into vegas. This time me stayed at Excalibur, where he gets comped after a few trips with his sister. It was nice I thought, but I usually dont give a crap about the hotel room i'm in, as there is so much more to do. We walked around town mostly on the first night, but after a while I was getting impatient to get some cards in. I've been wanting to try the MGM poker room, so we went there. THings started off rough for me as I lost my 200 buyin on 1/2 nl in about 30 minutes, mostly to my K flush being outkicked on the river. Hadnt gone to the atm yet so I only had about 110 more, so I just bought in for that, 3 hours later cashed out with 625, not too shabby. A key hand was a nice 200 pot when my aces held up against QQ and 910 suited. ANother crazy hand...I had KQ diamonds in LP, raised tome by MP to 12, i call, all others fold. FLop comes AJ10 with 2 hearts (A and J). I wanted to get value so I was hoping she would bet so i could slowplay a bit, she came right out with 50. At this point I had about 450 and she had 300, so losing to a flush would suck big time for me. SHe was a fairly straightforward player and the only time i ever saw her bet a big draw was an openended, but with 15, not 50 dollars. So I just called, turn comes the card I dont wan to see, the Kh. Now im possibly tied or beat and i knew she would bet huge again. She goes all in for 250ish, i folded, and she shows me the Qh10h for the royal. She says "i think I had you beat"....i kept silent, what a moron, yeah thanks for betting it all. ANyways, we headed back to our hotel at about 1 to hopefully get drunk and find something to do. Ive discovered that I love craps! That game is so much fun. We ended up playing about 6 or 7 sessions during the 3 days and we only lost once, so that made it better. It is just plain fun, even more so when things get crazy. I was drunk and was laying 4 on the hi/low many many times and hit it for 58 about 7 times that night alone, lol. We had wanted to check out fremont street as well, since in 5 trips we've never been. We both grab a chip from every casino we play and this was great since there are about 11 or 12 there that we dont have. Here where the rest of my luck kicked in. We dont let ourselves get a chip unless we play something. So usually we play some random table game but mostly put 5 bucks onto the roulette table for a spin. My friend ALWAYS goes red or black, but i always go for the 2 to 1 odds or just pick a number. Basially, it cam down to 3 casinos, 3 number picks, 3 direct hits. Pretty sweet i'd say.OK, another thing my friends and I always do is take guesses on how many times I will get carded over the life of the trip. My previous record was 36 times in 24 hours. This time I guessed 43 and he guessed 56. After about 30 hours we both lost count at...wait for it.....wait for it.........72! Yes thats right SEVENTY TWO. We still had another day to go as well, so it had to be over 100 times. THat is sick, i hate it already, lol. Most places are pretty good about it, but the only lace i had trouble with the security or staff was at Binions on Fremont. I got to the roulette table, as we didnt feel in the mood for poker. I put down my $6 (for a chip and 5 on whatever), and he ask for the ID. I keep it out all the time anyways, so I give it to him. At the same time a floorperson walks by, this older woman who looked exactly like Mike Myers' Linda Richmond character. SHe grabs it and goes OH MY GAWD HONEY IS THIS REAL??? I'm like yes of course and she goes on and on, while about 30 or 40 of the ppl in the immediate area start gasping with her and crowd around. HTe other players there are getting impatient as she calls security to inspect the lisence. I gave them my military ID as well, and the security gueard calls his buddies over to "check this kid out." I finally get it back, and shes goes "omg, youre going to be grateful one day", yeah no chit dumbazz, and i tell here "thank you for behaving so professionally about the situation" and she of course gets pissy back at me, and we just walk out, whatever, last time i go there. Overall it was a good time, and i cannot wait to go back, obviously.

I am going to give you the best advise I canStay away from Roulette and CrapsOf course you won big this time.That's how they get you.Be smart and stay away from both of them

Good fold. Don't be too harsh on her, that game is so calling-station that it's definitely a +EV move. Thanks for the report.
