Napa_Don 688
Yeah, mine are all first world problems. Don’t get me wrong. I just thought that this was going to be a big year financially for me and now it’s on track to just be a pretty good year, assuming I don’t die. And if I do end up qualifying for unemployment or if this doesn’t go on for too long, it could still be a big year.
InternetExplorer 2,609
I love to hear it. I don't see how the recovery will be fast. So much crazy disruption, even if the lockdown stops tomorrow. I'm just super lucky to work in an industry that is among the last to shut down in scenarios like these.
Napa_Don 688
Like, nothing’s a done deal until it’s done but my side business gross revenue looks extremely possible to match my day job salary by this time next year with some things in the pipeline.
InternetExplorer 2,609
The fluidity of what you do always blows me away. Like, our team that does that work for businesses as a service line is constantly poaching or getting poached.
Napa_Don 688
I don’t even know how to take that. I have one client who’s a good friend. And I’m cheap compared to the other quotes he got and I’ve made a lot of improvements compared to their old accountants. not a huge secret how I’ve managed to not lose my only client over six months.

Theraflu 1,035
Just so we're clear: Brvy took part and enjoyed the voting process in Wisconsin today (which is a separate baffling question). The supreme court refusing to allow measures to make it safer for everyone to vote is criminal. As a public official I try extremely hard not to ever post on Facebook. So I'm airing it here to you 10.
InternetExplorer 2,609
I think it’s super interesting to see this virus forcing a lot of things to get with the times. Voting stuff, yeah, I get the inertia, any change will skew one way or another in the results. I’m just finding that a lot of things we assumed had to physically occur in the office are actually OK to do remotely.
Theraflu 1,035
Multiple high-level Republicans, including Trump, have flat out said that if more people vote, the R's won't win. 20 somethings being loud online and not voting is a big problem for Dems, but jesus christ, supporting Biden feels terrible. He's possibly more incontinent than Trump. And he's still against universal health care during a ****ing pandemic. I will miss Bernie.

A ham sandwich In the Oval Office would be less damaging than trump. I didn’t want Biden, (or Bernie) but if you care at all about the environment, SCOTUS, women’s rights, people, or any number of other issues, you hold your nose and vote Biden. You hope his vp will push him, you hope the legislators push him, or you can hope he dies in office but let’s be real, twitter likes Bernie, voters clearly don’t

I don’t know what you’re talking about because your excel and modeling and automation skills are super transferable. And you’re really smart and can pick up things. I can’t imagine you’d have trouble getting on as a SFA anywhere. Except maybe right now with everything. But any other time. I’ve just been really lucky and in the right place at the right time at a few points and it’s made all the difference. If HGIF (remember her??) hadn’t decided she was willing to take a paycut to get away from our boss who knows where I’d be. Definitely not here.

And because of that, mixed with the ever-improving voter suppression tactics, it feels impossible that Biden will win. Whatever, it all sucks. Liz would have tried to change a few good things, but we need a full overhaul. Republicans are so much better at the game. Rules and laws don't matter. Why would a president ever follow them again? Ron_Mexico 4,219
Sincerely, with all due respect, Trump is 10x worse cognitively worse than Biden. Biden has always been a bad speaker. When Obama picked him in 2008, people knew him as a gaffe machine. Biden knows things. Is he perfect? No. Is he slipping? Sure, but he can speak off the cuff, knows things, doesn’t think he knows everything, and will listen to people. trump just does word salad. Nothing he says EVER makes any sense or is based in any sense of reality. Don’t buy the narrative they are selling on biden (Not directed you, but in general) why Biden can run and win: trump can’t speak and knows nothing Trump has 20 alleged sexual assaults, so don’t tell me about Biden’s alleged one Corrupt kids? Trump’s kids are super corrupt and so is he 2018 was a referendum against trump and hopefully 2020 will be too Also, again, BernieBros talk, they don’t vote

Ron_Mexico 4,219
Curious you would equate me referencing Clay Travis and Dave Portnoy to Hitler though. that never even crossed my mind, but it was your first thought. Huh. Weird.
Essay21 2,385
You’re generalizing me so I generalized you to all the other Twitter progressives who equate modern times and trump to hitler. I mean you came in saying if you care about people, you gotta hold your nose and vote Biden. I mean jesus christ man get a grip. As though voting for trump is a vote to murder every non white person. Trump’s kids are super corrupt and so is he I'd like you to be right, but I just don't see where you get any of that confidence. I think he had like one okay debate, but aside from that, every public appearance looked like a disaster from the beginning of the campaign. And Trump has it set up so it literally doesn't matter he says or does. That base isn't going anywhere.
Essay21 2,385
I think the narrative on Biden is mostly overblown by a media that is so far left they wanted an avowed socialist to be president. He is old, yes, but he’s fine. And he won’t be doing much anyways. I’m dissapoimted he has embraced the further left policies, as I was going to vote for him if he stayed in the middle lane. Hopefully he will pivot to the middle. It’s all he has to do to win.

Hopefully he will pivot to the middle. It’s all he has to do to win. Joe doesn’t have to pivot to the middle. He is the middle. I get what you’re saying, how he has embraced one or two policies of Liz Warren (who I wanted to vote for) we just have to remember that we are voting mostly against trump and for a return to normalcy. essay, still vote for him even if he picks Stacey Abrams as his VP. (He may pick Warren). I’m nervous for anyone besides those two. We don’t need Tim Kaine again.
hank213 1,823
I think Biden's best shot is a Warren VP pick. She can bring enough of the progressive wing to suppress their gag reflex and vote for Biden plus she has some solid ideas for reform she can hopefully jedi mind trick him to putting on the democratic agenda in congress. And now for something completely different.
Essay21 2,385
If he picks Stacy abrams he isn’t in the middle anymore as her only qualification is being a far left propaganda tool for voter supression. Biden can earn my vote, but he needs to be the joe Biden of the last 40 years, not a guy trying to appease twitter socialists.
