I'm always open to entrepreneurial opportunities and I got a letter in the mail about one those business "seminars" coming to town about getting into the vending machine business. This sort of business has caught my attention before. What do you guys think about it? Does anyone have experience with this?
You can make a lot of money in that business, but only if you have the right capital and are able to have a large amount of vending machines...this usually happens by signing a deal with a chain grocery store or such to have your vending machines in all of their stores. The profit margin on vending machines is awesome, particularly the ones that sell crappy stickers and stuff like that. If you are patient and willing to wait awhile to build your business, you can make money in this field.Have you ever thought about getting into the ATM business?

So listen, I'm planning on setting up a multi stage tournament, kind of like how Poker Superstars worked. Each tourney will be a 6-8 player freezeout for say, $10 or $20 bucks, with a portion of each prize pool taken and put into a pool. At the end of, however many tourneys, there will be a big freeroll with the top 5 points leaders. My question to you guys, is what is the best way to work out the points for each place, and how would you correlate the points to chip counts to the final table?

Interesting you bring this up because I actually have been doing this same thing with my poker group. We play a tournament at somebodys house with usually 12-20 people showing up. Its a freezeout and and buy in is usually $12. We've been playing tournaments all year long and we're having our season ending big freeroll tourney coming up. What we did was we gave out a certain number of points depending out how high you finished in each tournament and each point meant 500 chips in the Big finale freeroll. For Example: 1rst Place=6 points 2nd Place=4 points3rd Place=3 points4rth Place=1 pointSo now depending on how many points you have accumulated during the season will determine how many points you get in the finale freeroll. I have 29 points and my next closest competitor has 13. Like I said, I fucking pwn my home game tournaments. I hope this helpes ya out.

This is basically the idea, as I regularly tear up this game. I have a top 2 streak that's been going on for a few months now. I came up with this idea bc I figured it would definately benefit me in the end
