what do you tip?

players like Farha.. I hear are very rude to dealers
surely you can find a better example for a rude professional player than Sammy Farha?get a clue, noob!
Actually, Noob, if you read the lady dealer from Bellagio's blog (her name is totally escaping me right now), it's a fact that Sammy Farha is rude to dealers. As is Johnny Chan from time to time. So, get a clue.

drawing dead.. if you could let me know what her blog is that would be greatly appreciated.. it would be neat to read how someone feels about the players that she encounters on a daily basis
http://table-tango.pokerworks.com/You'll need to dig a little bit. She still deals, but I think she's cut her hours down as she's getting ready to retire. There's a lot of really good stuff in there though.

lol.........oh....so now it's a fact because some dried-up, part-time nag with a blog says so.i did my own research and found some other bitter blogger/dealer wannabe with a Farha axe to grind. it kind of looks like this guy is referring to Daniel in this post but i'm not sure about that.http://www.oddjack.com/gambling/sam-farha/index.phpaha! the holy grail of proof that Farha is pwning scrub dealers!

I'm not continuing this discussion until you give me some kind of proof that you can back up your assertion that Sam Farha is "nice to dealers". Seems like you wanted to randomly jump on a poster for something you knew nothing about. I wouldn't make a habit of that.As for "scrub dealers", Linda deals the big game at Bellagio and has been a well-respected dealer for quite some time. Daniel's worked with her for some free rolls and things before, so I'm guessing she's not just some "scrub dealer".As for your "Pork Farmer Gibberish"--don't do that. Just say, "Touche'" and walk away. Don't make yourself look any more ignorant than you already have.

Well, hey, at least you didn't make some foolish comments in a failed attempt to flame someone and then continue to look like an ass afterward. That would've been tragic. ..People who can't handle common sense, rational explanations or a casual debate make me giggle.

I usually play in the smaller limit games when i go to the casinos. If i scoop a pot i will usually flip the dealer a dollar. I was just wandering what you guys tip. More so Daniel i am curious when you get pushed a 300,000 dollar pot what do you tip the dealer if any.
3% or 4% of the pot that's won seems like the right amount to me.
You're insane. 4% of the pot is 8% of your profit. Do you not like money?

I guess i'm a cheap sensored...I rarely tip unless its a HUGE pot....I figure with lots of people like you guys they really arn't missing much by me not tipping lol.I figure in the gas money to get there...Valet...Waitress tips...Gas to get back...Fact that i'm not at home makine more playing online poker...So after all of that i need a good night to make sure i do more than break even. Unless i'm playing a 12 session.Figure you'll playing 5/10 limit Holdem for 8 hrs...and you grinding out 2.5 bb/hr...which isn't to shabby25 x 5 = 125 to the green at the end of the session.minus gas 6 bucksvalet w/ tip 5 buckswater w/ tips over 4 hrs..4 buckstipping 3/hr...12 bucksso 27 bucks out of your 125So while you still make 98 to the good thats a full hrs worth of work you just lost if you count in all of the other variables when you go out...but even if you only count the tipping the DEALER...thats still 1/8th of your profits gone right there...assuming you don't end up tipping more than what i stated above. Now i'm not saying that you should go out to the casino because of this...hell going to the movies is much more -EV than this. I'm just saying that the 12 bucks per trip will add up to a pretty big number over a year.

you realize dealers primary source of income is tips, right?toss 'em a dollar. this way they're actually motivated to do their job.i will tip dealers who deal well.. if they are FAST and EFFICIENT I'll throw a dollar their way at the end of a down, or after a particularly flawless set of pitches. incentive woot.

http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/051130/clw012.html?.v=23how bout it, pay4usc?......you got a take on this stock?......has anybody played at a B&M with these machines.......i know these will never replace a dealer in high-stakes poker, but there's nothing casinos love more than a machine that replaces a workeri hear Sam Farha is mean to these machines and beats on them without mercy when they freeze-up (now my buddy "pwnedinDM" will have to comment)

I don't tip if I am losing. if I have been losing for 2 hours and am down $100 and finally win my first pot, I probably won't tip until I am in the black.
this is a dumb policy. whatever happened to "it's all one big session?"do you not tip your waiter if you're down at poker for the week?another thing i've noticed is that it's good to keep a stack of $1 chips in your pocket in NL games so as to not dig into your stack while tipping.

I bluff tip, pretend to throw them money, when it's really the no kill button. Man you can get them to fall for that at least 4 times before they misdeal you aces twice in a row.But seriously, I tip $1 - $4 based on pot size in $3/6 and $4/8And Sammie Farha shot my father, so I hate him. But my dad wasn't a dealer so I don't know if that helps this tiff or just murks the water.and for the record...PWNED is gay
