what music are you guys listening to?

but seriously though, tyler and especially earl are just god damn awesome. listened to earl's "earl" like 5 times already this morning. he's what mf doom would be if he watched snuff porn for 48 hours straight. bad thing is though, I've been reading up on them and so many writers label them as horrorcore, and, just... no. that is not a good label to be labeled with. fucking insane clown posse? no.

?estlove's 10 favorite albums:My favorite song … depends on my mood. Asking me about my favorite song or record is like asking me what was my favorite breath. So, that said, I offer up my top 10 albums in order:1. It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back by Public Enemy, 19882. Fan-Tas-Tic (Vol. 1) by Slum Village, 19973. Person to Person (Live) by the Average White Band, 19764. Ask Rufus by Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, 19775. Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, 19666. 1999 by Prince, 19827. Off the Wall by Michael Jackson, 19798. De La Soul is Dead by De La Soul, 19919. Nefertiti by Miles Davis, 196810. Since I Left You by the Avalanches, 2001What up Slum Village! Only real surprise is Since I Left You, which I never would have guessed. I also never would have guessed the obscure soul/r&b albums either, but they aren't surprising.

Are you recommending this to ?estlove? Also, no offense but it's not a very good recommendation. Not because it's not a good album, but rather because it's such a good and classic album that everybody and their grandmother knows it forwards and back.

Nothing wrong with the classics - most of them are classic for a reason. And it's not even bad to recommend them necessarily, it's just that I live in Brooklyn and listen to tons of Wu. My neighborhood actually has a large amount of Wu-Tang graffiti, which is a bit odd because the neighborhood is Mexican and Jewish and Chinese. My theory (or really my friend's theory) is that the Chinese people are down with the Wu, what with the kung-fu and everything. Certainly makes sense, but it's a little funny seeing it in around this neighborhood. There's not a lot of graffiti around, and probably 20-30% of it is Wu-Tang.

TOMBOY
I'm a song and a half in. I avoided listening to any of the singles that were released, so this is pretty much 100% fresh.1.5 songs in and, yeah, it's pretty much album of the year. Pitchfork, get ready to go crazy.

Did anyone watch the stream of LCD Soundsystem's last concert Saturday night. I forgot about it and really regret it. LCD was probably the best concert I've ever attended. I heard Arcade Fire sang backup for a song. Sad that he won't be making new music. I'm looking for a stream and will post it if I can find one.

It was on YouTube before but has been taken down only within the last hour or so. I was able to find it on MegaUpload though.
