some vegas hotel help

Recommended Posts

If you are a Charter Member you can stay at Daniel's house. He has a nice guest room.
He told me the guest room was being remodeled and I would have to sleep in his bed with he and Lori! Of course I extended my stay by one week.
I am shocked and dissapointed. I made a perfectly good joke and it took almost two hours for some one to acknowledge it. When did the General Forum lose it's sense of humor?
It just wasn't that funny.Stick to what you do best, making Alan hate his life as it is now.
I'm sorry to say that I found it more amusing than your Irish Spring comment. That joke just made me cringe.

Sadly, that wasn't a joke. Every word of that was painfully true.
I think you have to have experienced the wonders/perils of Irish Spring to understand the joke. Soap is such a slut.

just check orbitz or another internet hotel search engine. On the strip you can get good deals sun-thurs at most of the hotels. but on the weekends it gets pricey. If you are going to stay off the strip i would suggest the palms or Rio or something over there rather then downtown.

Mariott Fairfield. Right across the interstate from Mandaley Bay, clean and nice enough with a gas station within walking distance of it, and cheap as hell. We might have just gotten a kick ace group rate, but thirteen of us flew from MN and back and stayed there for a week for a total of 320.00.The bomb package. Worth calling and checking out.

Hey guys my 21 birthday is coming up in Feb and I have a vegas trip planned. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of the El Cortez Hotel. I am not looking for a five star hotel as I'll be at the poker tables for most of the trip. Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap non rat infested place to stay.
Make sure you make your way over to the MGM grand NL games... I was down there for a week in July and mopped up MGM 1/2 NL for over 2k in 25 hrs of play... softest game I ever sat in...

No kidding. The MGM 1/2 NL was unreal. I was seriously sick when I was there last September and I still tripled my buy-in in two hours.

El Cortez ... I don't ever want to hear anyone on this forum speak those words again. First of all, get out of downtown, the only decent place to play really is the Gold Nugget. All the tourists throwing their $ away are on the strip. Best value and might I say an enormous step up from the aforementioned never to be mentioned again is the IP (Imperial Palace). Best value on the strip as the Casino is nice, young and moderately hip. You are dead center of the strip across from Caesars. You can sign up for a Players Club card online and get rooms for $65 Midweek and $85 Weekend. Here's a link for you.http://www.imperialpalace.com/stay.php?sub...8&contentid=284You need to be 21 in order to sign up so hopefully you will be 21 soon so you can get a players card before you need to go. The IP does not have a great poker room, but they do have free sandwiches and donuts!!! Again, you would at least be located in centre strip so you can easily access any of the major hotels. The easiest $ on the strip at low limits is Bally's which is just up the road. While you are there sign up for players cards at various hotels. They will send you discounted room offers in the mail on occassion.

I usually stay at the Venetian (thankfully they're finally putting in a poker room - a dealer told me 47 tables! - to compete with Bellagio). On the low end, it's hard to beat the Barbary Coast - the rooms are decent, cheap, and you're walking distance to Caesars Palace , Mirage, Paris, and the Flamingo. Bellagio's close as well. The morbidly obese Elvis that performs just off the casino floor is a bonus, as is the steady stream of beautiful people (looking slightly surprised that they're in this joint) that come lining up for Drai's afterhour bar at 3am when I'm usually sitting wasted playing blackjack. Ahh, good times, good times.

The IP will be closing down for good sometime in the new year !!!it just got taken over by one of the big 2Good. Maybe the new management will be able to get rid of the mildewy smell on the casino floor. Not even the usual rancid smoke smell covered it up last time I was in there. The 'dealertainers' were mildly amusing though.

I stayed at the IP for 6 days when I was 22 with 10 of my friends in their "penthouse suite". We trashed the place. I am banned from the IP... no BS. It all started midweek when we were at the ESPNZone watching the sox yanks game and I get a call on my cell from one of my buddies on the trip. Apparently he had returned to the room from the pool only to find a uniformed cop and the casino manager waiting at the door. They weren't going to let us back in the suite until we put up at least 50% of the damage bill, which after a lengthy assessment of what was once a hotel suite they estimated to be $1250. Damages included the following:- 1 shattered glass coffee table (all that was left was the iron frame)- multiple cigarette burns in the wall to wall carpeting- 1 hole in bedroom wall (hard plaster crumbling exposing wood and insulation- 1 broken bathroom pail... (ya i know.. ridiculous) they charged us $50 for a $5 piece of crap bucket that had a little dent in it- 1 missing TV remote... little did they know it went off the balcony in the wee hours of the morning ..probably hit an innocent pedestrian on the strip - I dont remember the rest... but there was more... Anywho, why did I post this? Oh ya... the dealtainers!!!They were GREAT, except for the Rod Stewart impersonator... he really freaked me out. Oh ya, and the Tina Turner impersonator was a dude... really weird... BUT, Dolly Parton was fantastic. She had the voice down pat, and her $5 min bet blackjack table was always packed, largely (no pun intended) in part to her tiny shirt with her gigantic mellons busting out. I was getting along great with Dolly during the trip. I dropped about $400 at her blackjack table and was perfectly happy... I got to stare at her boobs all day. Then the following occurred:Sat down the day before we left and Dolly wasn't her normal outgoing self... something just wasn't right. She was awfully quiet and for a minute I thought she might be mad at me. Then all of a sudden in the middle of dealing a hand she drops under the table and starts barfing in a bucket... dry heave style... The floor manager comes over and kindly asks us to find another table and lets us take our bets back. Poor Dolly. I could never really look at her the same for the remainder of the trip because all I could think of was the straining/burping/gurgling/coughing/puking noises I heard coming out of her for those few moments... truly disturbing. Oh yea, and I learned she was deep into the vegas swinger scene later on... random.
