I'm about to drink wine and eat french fries. Gourmet.edit: Yep...I liked my own post.

I'm back in the land of cold weather, wind, and snow. I left CA on a day it reached 90 degrees and arrived in Anchorage to 12 degree weather, caught a plane to Unalaska where it was 34 with 2 inches o

does it make me totally gay that I have zero interest in seeing Shavers pierced Vag?
You became gay when you blew that guy behind the dumpster of the gay bar you were at.This just makes you gay-er-est.

ok...so for all the lazy people who don't want to go to general or google this what happened?
max buy in used to be 100, now I guess it's going to be 1000. Also limit games can go up to 50 I think.

if you are asked to complete a project by Thursday April 17th, 2009. Is it A) Due on Thursday 16th, B) Due on Friday 17th, or C) Not due at all
C.. because he is a douche that doesn't know that Thursday is actually the 16th..
Nice to see you, Allie. I was wondering about you the other day, so I'm glad you stopped by. I still also wonder what is going on with Vann. I don't always catch up with great accuracy, but I really don't remember him saying anything about being gone for a while.
I saw him in other threads..
HI BUNNY
I saw him post in the TV thread recently, but that's really no help at all.
Yeah that4am.. sick as a dog still and can not sleep..Deadliest Catch was good tonight.. Looks like it will be a good season :club:

A retiree was given a set of golf clubs by his co-workers. Thinking he'd try the game, he asked the local pro for lessons, explaining that he knew nothing whatever of the game. The pro showed him the stance and swing, then said, "Just hit the ball toward the flag on the first green." The novice teed up and smacked the ball straight down the fairway and onto the green, where it stopped inches from the hole. "Now what?" the fellow asked the speechless pro. "Uh... you're supposed to hit the ball into the cup," the pro finally said, after he was able to speak again. "Oh great! NOW you tell me." said the beginner

This bar league poker idea has legs after all.Spent about 4 hours starting a business plan.Definitely has potential and combines the two things I am most interested in, recreational web design and poker.Still have some market research to complete to find out what the saturation level is at and even if it is reaching a saturation point what % of players could be swayed to a new league and what incentives/attractions would it take to do so.Also curious what % of bars have been approached that currently do not host games.Definitely something I am going to look at harder and Scott (Canada Scott) I would be interested in talking with you some if you have time over MSN or something. From my initial projections the startup capital is fairly low, but the player pool build could be timely making it take as long as 18 months to reach a comfortable income level so I don't see it being something that you can just plow into and replace current income, but something you could certainly eventually build a full time business off of.Do we have anyone in here that is good at business accounting, taxes, contract payroll, liability, filings, etc?

Doooo Eeeeet! But don't limit yourself to just poker. Bars want things that draw people into them. Poker is hot right now. A few years ago it was trivia/Karaoke. In a few years, it'll be some other game. I'd say you have to be a one stop shop!As a FORMER BAR OWNER, it was much preferrable to deal with 1 person/company for everything vice 1 guy for poker, 1 guy for trivia.........Just saying.

sidenote 1 - i've been enjoying dirty martini's lately...i think it's my new obsession with olives...yummy...only thing is that at this point i'm drinking straight up vodka with a bit of olive juice in it so i'm sorta feeling alcoholish
First, I love the word "alcoholish". Second, I'm at the point where I'll drink a vodka and water that is pretty much a vodka on the rocks so perhaps I'm becoming alcoholish, too. Third, olives suck.

As for your meeting, are you being a gigollo for extra cash?
No male prostituting last evening. And the "meeting" portion of the evening was very productive and brief so, all in all, good night. But I went out for drinks and a meeting and yada, yada, yada. Anyway, I'm really tired today.

i will be a casino :club:
You're alcoholish, you're a casino. Your posts are getting harder to decipher by the minute.
Then I want to play inside you.
This was pretty damn good, though, so no complaints.

In general I would say a piercing down there isn't a turn on or anything, but that doesn't mean I would turn down an opportunity to see one. It's sort of like my theory on shots. If somebody offers you one, even if you don't like it, you take it. The ultimate would be a chick offering you a nasty shot before you look at her piercing.

It definitely won't replace your current income right away. Getting a good relationship with the bars is key and attracting players with large prizepools. We have 4 locations in my city and we are offering a $1500 WSOP seat after a 10 week season. For the other 2 cities we are offering them a bit smaller prize but its bigger than what they have played for in the past. We are part of the largest free poker tour in Western Canada and it will only get bigger. The other factor is having employees you can trust that will run these tournaments in the bar.As for Norm's idea, right now Guitar Hero/Rock Band is big at the bars. Someone hosts that at different bars every night, actually there are 2 or 3 people competing for this market.Sex and Tunes trivia is another entertainment event at bars here, some old creepy guy does this. He asks a multiple choice question on sex (what percent of men have had a threesome, etc etc) and then plays a song. Usually a 4 or 5 sex questions and songs in a round, prizes are items from a sex shop or gift certificates.
