Point One: I didn't really spend time there, like active amounts of it, currently or really ever. This was way, way back when I first discovered the site existed, and I spent a couple days deep diving into threads, fascinated by it. Extremism off any kind fascinates me. I've only been back a couple times since.. once when Obama was elected, out of curiosity to see how bad the venom was, and another time when I found out about that white power dating site (actually now that I think about it, that white power dating site deep dive might have been the time I found that thread, but still many years ago, ~2008 ) If you want to question the amount of time I spent on a racist forum, NWP and related forums is probably a better target.

 

Point two: the baskstory is exactly what I said it was. There was a story on Gawker about a woman with white power tattoos, who was working the phones for trump, and the first comment in the comment was that cartoon, and I posted it here for Scram's benefit, because I instantly thought of him.

I really do think these Trump protesters are just going to start annoying people into voting for Trump. But we will see. I'm still hopeful that Trump won't get the nomination. He was wise to cancel the debate with Cruz. Debates with Cruz are only a lose-lose for Trump.

The cultural baseline in this country isn't 'Hollywood Values'. That (and PC) has become some manufactured zeitgeist held together only by television... and as television decreases in relevancy as an institution, so does its ability to hold together certain narratives (which is precisely certain interest groups are hysterical to "control speech on the internet")

I definitely agree about the backlash. Guys like us are still the majority, if we can take our heads out of our asses and wake up. It's happening. We are finally sick of being the creators, but somehow having to walk around on eggshells, worried we are going to be accused of rape or offend some twat with a "micro aggression." I think trump is a flawed candidate, but who isn't? He is the only person who still seems interested in the freedom of the demographic that created this country and made it great. He will almost certainly go down as the best president since FDR.

Add Trumps ability to pull in the non-voting/too racist and poor to take polls with Clinton's high unlikablity numbers with #bernieorbust type apathy if Hillary wins the nom and the ferver with which authoritarians come out to vote and I am not convinced Trump/Clinton is a done deal.

 

I think Trump is unlikely, still, because I think enough independents and moderates will vote non-batshit.

 

But, I don't know, I have a low bar for the intelligence of the U.S. population.

This is exactly what I'm seeing.

 

I think its safe to say that 80%+ of Sanders support carries over to Clinton for no reason other than a hatred of Trump and her being a woman (which appeals to the lefts desire to elect OTWM's), but that's what you get in any primary when a candidate is finally named. The problem is, there is a large, hardened Sanders contingent who will just say home. I will stay home. I'm not voting for that snake Clinton. I realize I'm not representative of everyone, but I know I'm not alone in that. I'll vote for Sanders. I won't vote for her.

 

Contrast this against the potential for weird voter turnout that Trump will be ginning up from loser-enclaves where the people never voted (or been on an airplane) before, like I said. It's probably a huge mistake to write him off in a general election.

 

Also, I am essentially all in on Junior Dos Santos.

I'm hesitant to predict anything more to do with trump, because I've been so wrong about him, but I think the "Never Hillary" sentiment by the bernie supporters is even stronger on the right for "never trump". He might energize some non traditional voters, but he's going to chase plenty off into not voting, and energize plenty of minorities into showing up, just to vote against him. I just don't see how he can win the swing states, with zero latinos voting for him. The GOP is committing suicide in national elections if they keep pushing away the latino vote. But like I said, I was super wrong about trump and I and this election has gone opposite the way I thought it would ,about every step of the way, so trump will probably have a Reagan '84 style victory.
