Theraflu 1,035
Wheres the fun in that? Im much more interested in his character than the other three. Really? This is not an opinion I've seen anywhere.
SuitedAces21 2,722
i just have always preferred the "bad guy." collin farrell's character is good, but his near death experience has taken him to a more honest place. i want him to be on the edge. hard ass female and repressed homo are characters i've seen before, like vinny's. played exceptionally well here by all four. but if i have to choose, i'd rather watch vince move back in on his old turf than tim rigging struggle with liking dudes.
hank213 1,823
I'm quite satisfied with Semyon. I think VV is doing a respectable job exuding the quiet menace that all good gangster characters have. I'm bored by the hyper-feminist "double standard" deflections of BendsHerKneedes. Couldn't care less about the mother/son dynamic and the self-loathing homosexuality. I hate to say it, because I really don't care for the irish douche, but Velcoro is one character that is actually going somewhere. I have a feeling he's going to end up being the "hero" of the whole shebangabang. --edit well shit. sounds like i'm lining up quite a bit with SA's opinion and that's usually a key indicator of massive wrongitude.

Spademan 94
I'm bored by the hyper-feminist "double standard" deflections of BendsHerKneedes. I'm not sure you know what "hyper" means. Also, changing the characters name to "reference for blowjob" while harping on her "hyper-feminism" is ****ing stupid. Don't annoy me, I'm the kinder, gentler Spademan. hank213 1,823
Word Origin 1. a prefix appearing in loanwords from Greek, where it meant “over,”usually implying excess or exaggeration ( hyperbole); on this modelused, especially as opposed to hypo-, in the formation of compoundwords ( hyperthyroid). You don't think her "I can do everything a man can do" is shtick (meaning gimmicky)? And that was the point, the whole character is stupid. I think it was suits applying pressure to satisfy sjw's. Spademan 94
You don't think her "I can do everything a man can do" is shtick (meaning gimmicky)? Naw, I haven't felt that it has gone over the top. Not that it might not become an issue if they up that game a bit, but other than that one "if I were a man" comment, I can't recall one instance where she was clearly harping on any sort of systemic feminist issue. And even on that point she was immediately refuted. The only other gender thing I recall she brought up was why she carries knives, and that was explicitly because she couldn't do something a man can do. It's possible I missed other instances somehow, but just because she does "man" stuff like **** em and leave em, watches porn and acts tough doesn't make her a hyper-feminist. Ron_Mexico 4,219
Are we pumped for the finale? I know i am. This season is a turd. You can't be excited. I'd guess that you couldn't give me the characters names Do you miss it? What? Anything Everything is fcking. It's just so bad this year, confusing and overly written

hank213 1,823
The Frank and Ray characters are the only things that have kept me interested this season. Frank was fantastic the last episode. Unfortunately, I got a feeling things are gonna go bad for him in the finale.

Theraflu 1,035
Vince has been good, especially the last few episodes, but the monologues didn't work for me, and almost everything with his wife for the first 5-6 episodes was pretty terrible. Tellingly, almost all of VV's best scenes are with Colin, who has been outstanding over and over again. Overall, I've enjoyed the show. Not as engrossing as last season, and the plot was pretty convoluted for a while, but it's been good summer TV. The shame for me is that I think there was a chance for it to be a really good season of television, but there were just too many missteps.
BigDMcGee 3,352
I think it was an ambitious, but largely a failure, but I'll always grade softer on something that's trying something ambitious.
SuitedAces21 2,722
only thing i would criticize is having 4 leads. i don't think we needed the tim riggins character. take out his stuff and expand on the others and i think its near perfect again.
Theraflu 1,035
Stan's murder is a big part of Vince's arc. No one knows who Stan was. The most you learned about Stan was episode 7, like 4 episodes after he died. That is poor storytelling, especially when you invoked his wife and kid and it still didn't mean anything, to anyone. All the land deals matter, in some way, but they don't make for good TV. No one had any idea what was actually going on with all that, there was just enough to make it feel like you maybe knew what was happening. If I didn't read the profile on the real city that Vinci is based on, I'd be even more confused. It doesn't profile as a realistic place. Maybe that's on the viewer for not understanding how bizarre Cali workstates operate, but it probably isn't. I don't want to call for more exposition, but there needs to be a groundwork laid that makes the story make sense. Season 1 did a great job of it; none of the LA scene was taken for granted. Nic just didn't do it this season. Aerial highway shots don't inform that much.
