Poppy_Hillis 11
Ya that was a great trade for the Pacers, and a good one for the Rockets. Looks like we're not going to get a Melo/Amare/CP3 trio in NY next summer.

fleung22 1
you know what's crazy? watching Carmello ignoring 3yrs for $65M.seriously...when did $65,000,000 become not enough? not like the guy is playing for the T-Wolves

I hope Carmelo does go to New York so they can get excited and then lose in the first or 2nd round every year.

I should be enjoying this more considering how much shit I took as a Miami fan in Connecticut from 1996-2000 but it's more sad than funny.

fleung22 1
If he wants to win, he might as well be. Competing to win a championship is going to require him joining a super team. But the thing is they aren't the T-wolves...Why not just add a piece here and there?Billups is a more than capable PG and the bigs are solid. Literally an additional star SG or a C that moves Nene to bench and they'd instantly be contenders.Looking at the 2011 Free Agency options:Tim DuncanYao MingPau GasolCaron Butler, G/FAssuming Tim and Yao don't drop off much due to age/health I think any of those 4 would change things significantly.Makes more sense to me than going to the money dumping wasteland of NYC IMOI suppose it's not even the winning thing (I'm just making a case they could do it)...but the fact that $20M+ per year doesn't get it done. I know the players have the "right" but feels pretty damn selfish to me
JoeyJoJo 18
its not my fault you dont win titles without more than one good player.I actually would like to see all the star players go to a handful of teams. I don't care if a bunch of teams are irrelevant; it's more fun watching the best go against each other.Prediction: the Cavaliers will be within 10 wins of the Thunder this year. Everybody seems to be jumping on the Thunder bandwagon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they take a step backwards this year before taking two steps forward next year. And I don't think Cleveland will be as bad as people think. I could see them in the mid to high 30's and Oklahoma in the mid to high 40's.

I don't think the Cavs are as bad as people say. Jamison is still a solid player and Hickson won't be worse than BigZ or Shaq in the middle. I think they can be a .500 team. Not horrible lineup of:Mo Williams Ramon Sessions/Anthony ParkerAntoine JamisonJJ HicksonAnderson Varejao

Who is going to create?JJJ, I would give you 1.5-1.They should still be a good defensive team for the most part, and there are still a lot of weak teams who just from the effort on that end they will stay in games with. If hickson develops and williams and jameson stay healthy I think they can with 35-38 games.

I presume that they will be running a completely different offense which will probably focus on ball movement and getting everyone open shots and a lot less 1v1 and isolation plays.
