This deserves to get seen by a few more people. From our resident Stupidhead...v1.27Feral Cow Poker Hand ConverterHEM/Poker Stars NL Hold'em $1.00/$2.00 - 6 playersButton: $237.98SB: $200.00BB: $60.00

I remember when this thread was all about how bad KJ was at 3betting

He's probably not flatting KJ's raise otf if he had a2. Besides, A2 is such a small portion of his range here, we are never ever ever ever ever ever ever folding the turn. People are stupid, they do

Villain is 16/9.I almost folded, but figured he plays 55, 33, QQ+ the same way.feral_cow_icon.gifFeral Cow Poker Hand ConverterPokerStars No-Limit Hold'em $0.10/$0.25 - 6 playersSB: $44.55 BB: $26.10 (Hero)UTG: $12.22 UTG+1: $25.00 CO: $70.08 Button: $25.35 Preflop: ($0.35) Hero is BB with :ts:jh (6 players)UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $0.75, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.50Flop: ($1.60) :club::5c:3h (2 players)Hero checks, UTG+1 checksTurn: ($1.60) :D (2 players)Hero bets $1, UTG+1 raises to $3.81, Hero raises to $8.25, UTG+1 raises to $12.69, Hero raises to $25.35 and is all-in, UTG+1 calls $11.56 and is all-inRiver: ($51.10) :qh (2 players)Hero showed :4h:D, and lost with a full house, Eights full of ThreesUTG+1 showed :D :D, and won ($48.10) with a full house, Nines full of ThreesUTG+1 won $48.10(Rake: $2)

yeah, I know how you feel. I just had an almost identical hand to that where I "knew" villain had top set, and sure enough he did and I couldn't quad the river. your villain doesn't play QQ/KK/AA like that though.

The second series I have been watching on CR is "Mt. Micro 2011" by Verneer, this is another on going series but there are 7 eps out so far. Aimed at new depositors I guess this series follows Verneer trying to run $200 up to $10k playing FR Rush starting at 10NL and currently having reached 100NL since the start of the year.As the series seems to be aimed at people starting out I think it would have started a bit better with a pure theory episode first that gives a detailed look at the basic starting strategy. There is a good mix of video types in the series so far with live play reviews of both Verneer and another player, HH review videos and a leak finder video so there should be something for everyone there. One criticism I have of CR so far is that thier out put seems a bit haphazard. There appears to be less focus on themed series than say DC and when they do have a series like the two I have watched so far when views get released seems to be all over the shop as there does not appear to be a regular schedual. The search function seems a bit hit and miss on occasion too.

Yeah, if I was paying, I'd be more likely to go with DC (CR would be way down the list), but as I get it free, I tend to just take what I can get with it. Think I've watched maybe 4 videos in 5-6 months.

this is odd. villain's an aggro reg. his line made no sense, so I figured a sneaky JJ or a turned draw/airc/r'd the turn because Ax makes up some of his range, having checked back the flop, and an aggro reg can't resist betting it anywayFull Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comSB ($25)Hero (BB) ($50)UTG ($57.83)UTG+1 ($44.07)MP1 ($57.62)MP2 ($49.49)MP3 ($105.87)CO ($25)Button ($47.50)Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 :4h, 6 :jh1 fold, UTG+1 bets $0.75, 6 folds, Hero calls $0.50Flop: ($1.60) J :club:, 7 :3h, 6 :qh(2 players)Hero checks, UTG+1 checksTurn: ($1.60) A :ts(2 players)Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $1, Hero raises to $3.50, UTG+1 raises to $9.25, Hero calls $5.75River: ($20.10) A :5c(2 players)Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $14.75, Hero calls $14.75

I feel awful after this hand. UTG has played a lot w/me and I think he's a pretty decent reg and capable of folding one pair w/200 bbs behind. so when he fires into the field, I rate him to have an overpair more often than air, but raising into him, on this coordinated of a board, got me concerned that he'd foldI didn't feel great calling down, but I figured he could have a worse set, too, that he's bet/folding or even a hand he's turning into a bluffI post it as a lesson: don't ever slowplay, especially when you're deep, unless you're a fish <-----------Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comMP3 ($50)Hero (CO) ($66.83)Button ($25)SB ($21.57)BB ($50)UTG ($51.25)UTG+1 ($25)MP1 ($27.97)MP2 ($60.58)Preflop: Hero is CO with 7 :ts, 7 :5cUTG bets $0.85, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.85, 1 fold, SB calls $0.75, BB calls $0.60Flop: ($3.40) 5 :qh, 4 :3h, 7 :club:(4 players)SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $2.25, Hero calls $2.25, 2 foldsTurn: ($7.90) 8 :4h(2 players)UTG bets $4.75, Hero calls $4.75River: ($17.40) 3 :jh(2 players)UTG bets $12, Hero calls $12
