Im thinking of going around that time. I like riding solo in vegas... only thing is I like restaurants, and it is kind of weird eating alone.

Question:Is it better to book hotels:1) Way, way ahead of time (months before stay dates)2) Last minute (10 days or less before stay dates)3) standard six-ish weeks outHow heavily does it affect pricing?

If you find a rate your happy with book it in advance. You might save $10 a night or so at the hotels listed if you wait but is it worth the risk? Deffinatly get a players card wherever you stay and use it when you gamble and youll be on there mailer and email list for future stays. Do some digging on MGM/Mirage casinos. I saw a couple of weeks ago(cant remember where or I would lnk it) that they had some smoking deals all over the strip ranging from $24 at Circus Circus to $119 a night for Bellagio and Aria. I think MGM Grand was $54 which is outstanding value.

or easier...just meet the Casino Manager and wear a T-shirt with your ID on it and look like you are 15 and get free suites for life just because you are who you are!weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Check online right before you go and see if the rates are lower....they'll change the rates if they are....but ya gotta ask.Also....when you check in.... ask for any super saver upgrades. Sometimes if the suites aren't sold out....you can get them dirt cheap. I've gotten 2 bedroom suites for as little as $25 upgrade.

When you say "right before" like a day, a week, how long we talking about?--edit just looked difference is negligible.Originally booked Hooters for cheeeap but then I read some business articles that came out the next and it sounded like they were folding. So called exped and had them move me to luxor but it was nonrefundable. About a month ago I got 4 free nights (fri-sat blackout) at Venetian. Dammit. Funny thing is the bill at luxor for 6 nights + flight wasn't much more than Venetian only for friday & saturday. Thought about just saying screw it and moving to the V for Sun-Tues nights but I know once I use the freebie I'll never get it again since I'm not a whale.So, I will be at the Luxor Jul 8-14. I now I would love to hear any reco's you may have regarding beverage houses and eateries. No sushi please.

Hooters is a dump fwiw. I was there on Sunday last week. I didn't stay there, but it's gross. The carpets look like they have not been cleaned in years, the rooms a grimy and look like housekeeping maybe vacums and turns down the sheets ever few guests.I thought the pool would be awesome, since it's Hooters. Nope. Fat chicks and their kids. No hooters girls serving drinks in the pool with wet t shirts.

Eat at the Rhino...the food is good and not expensive and there isnt a bad seat in the place. The staff looks pretty good too.
