Piddle Duck 0
That isn't a bad idea re: taking the cereal with me.Part of the problem for me last time was that walking up and down the strip, I don't remember seeing too many fast food/cheap restaurants. I remember Fatburger and that's about it. Most of the cheaper food court type stuff is in the resorts themselves so I had a tough time finding things. There is always Panda express

rivergirl 2
There used to be $1 BJ in that little shithole across from the Riviera (part of the Circus Circus complex), the one with the Little Caesars near the front, to the right of where the Westward Ho was...you're thinking of slots o fun....great cheap drinks if you can overcome the crowd. (they do like 50 cent heiny's and $5 yard longs) but it's been a while so that might have changed a little.i know the riviera's coffee shop/greasy spoon does late night cheap meals and i'm sure others do too. So if you're looking for good cheap full meals, not fast food, just change your eating schedule a little and don't eat till after midnight. (does binions still have the $5 steak after midnight too?) Some of the less pricey casinos will have coupon books and stuff if you do their "walkby promo" thing. If you really want to be cheap....do a timeshare tour, takes about an hour of a morning and you get a free buffet and show tickets. most breakfast buffets are super cheap and i don't really recall having one that was so terrible i wouldn't go back. (i do miss the one at the westward ho, place was a dive but they had the cheapest buffet and it was awesome. not to mention they had the little stand with the greatest strawberry shortcake everrrrrrrrrrr). stick to smaller/cheaper/older hotels for food. Or you can always gamble a little and try to get comped. And again, i find it's easier to get meals comped at the cheaper places. Venturing downtown to old LV can be a little cheaper for food, but you have to pay to get there, so if you don't have a car, it's not really worth the cab fare to save a few bucks just for food.have a great time. Nikki_N 17
The Army is staying on the strip this year. This is a departure from our usual downtown lodgings. I'm going to miss my comped Binions breakfast at the coffee shop every day. I was lamenting this to Dave the other day. I'm pretty sure the topless pool at the Flamingo will cheer me up. Have we decided about going out for dinner en masse yet this year?We haven't really discussed it. I know Ren has been interested in hitting up Bobby Flay's place for a few years. If everyone wants to do something, I'm in, but if we don't make arrangements, no big. It would be nice to know if I need to bring a nice dress.
