From CardPlayer:Players are being seated to begin play in Event 17 of the World Series of Poker, the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Shootout Tournament.Blinds will begin at 25/50.Don Baruch was the winner of this event in 2007, taking home $264,107. Other players to survive two rounds and reach the final table included Jared Davis (second place), Daniel Negreanu (third), Thomas Fuller, Michael Wehner, Brandon Lee, Doug Baughman, Erick Lindgren, and Fred Goldberg.There were 900 entrants last year, with each table playing nine-handed. In circumstances unknown, Gavin Smith and EPT Copenhagen champion Tim Vance have been sighted putting their only recently shedded coats back on and heading out of the Amazon Room. I only had two guys talking about their Sunday Millions win, Peter Feldman, Scott Fischman and two guys I recognized from WPT episodes.Luckily I was out first, though, so I didn't have to worry about the tough field.
